good news! congrats on a sucessful DR. visit.
Well I addressed this situation a few days ago on here. But I need to retell the story for those of ya that didnt see it. I married my wife about 3 years ago and we are both 24 right now. Whenever she was 14 she got into a car wreck and they did an MRI on her then to make sure everything was fine. Well whenever they did that they saw something in it, but said they werent sure what it was. So they wanted her to come back in a year or so to get an MRI. However she never did go back. Her parents were not concerned with it, because they had no money and didnt want to pay a huge doctor bill (I know kinda dumb). So as time went on it apparently grew (the tumor). At the age of 20 she was at school in Indiana on a basketball scholarship. She was having horrible headaches. She ended up passing out one day and they took her to the doctor. She got an MRI then and found out that she had a massive brain tumor. It was the size of an egg. And the doctor said that if she waited for more than a week it could be fatal. So they waited a few days to get everything together and they were off to surgery. Before the sirgery she was given about a 2% chance of survival. You see the tumor was wrapped around the nerves that went to her nose (I am pretty sure). So the most they could do is cut out some of it and let her live with what was left. Well they cut out a good percentage of it and minimized it down to a golf ball size (a little smaller I do believe). They said then go and get a check up every year and be sure things are good. So a year went by and she got a check up and it had not grown, it was the same size after surgery (which is a good thing). Another year past and she went for another checkup and it was completely gone!! We didnt know what to think. Well obviously it just didnt show up because the next year she went back at the age of 23, it was there again, about the same size it was after it was cut out. So Monday she had another MRI. And we just got the results back today and to my relief the doctor said everything is still fine. By what I saw it looked to get a bit bigger, but nothing real bad. So with lots of prayers we have been able to hold this thing off for this long and hoping that one day we will get multiple MRI's and it will be gone. But its hard to not think about the inevitable. One day she will more than likely have to have surgery again, and we will have to cross that bridge when it gets here. But on this day I can breath a big sigh of relief and thank god for letting me keep my wife. Thank you to all those who PM'd me about this situation, I appreciate the concern. And I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. Again thank you IM members you guys are some stand up guys and gals.

can you break that up into paragraphs.
I hope everything goes well!
Amazing. I am sure she will be fine and healthy.
Anytime she wants to visit us, tell her that she is welcome at IM.
Right on good to hear.

Awesome.
I did more than just PM you with supportive comments.
I supplied you with two options for proactive treatment. The first naturally encourages tumor fighting immune system activation, but it goes beyond that point, to also correct improper protective histone acylation and DNA methylation that controls oncogene expression in cells throughout the body.
The second, more aggressive approach should be used if the tumor becomes active and grows again. It will cause the tumor to detach from local tissue (reverses angiogensis), to form descrete edges, to begin self destruction (programmed cell death, also called apoptosis), and to shrink and eventually disappear - as exactly has happened once before...almost completely (small and without sufficient density to show up on that MRI a few years ago).
Glad to hear the good news.![]()

Congrats on your wifes success. I hope everything goes well.
Thank you alot guys. I have showed her all the PM's I have recieved and she said "Thanks a bunch". She and I know the power of prayer. Again I wanna thank everyone who has filled up my PM box, it is overwhelming and much appreciated. And to Trouble: Thank you very much for the treatments you have sent me. I have been waiting for a time that me and my wife can sit down and take a good look at what you sent me. I do appreciate that very much! I think we ought to be able to take a look at that tommorow sometime. Just waiting for a time whenever we can get a day off together. Again to everyone thank you very much.
What modern medicine is just beginning to comprehend: the amazing self-repair capacity, present within all organisms, but mostly highly evolved in the most complex, longer-lived lifeforms.
I'm sure some might see the material I provided to you as new-agey bs. The emerging hard-core science supports this information directly, and not surprisingly, the physiological benefits behind the power of positive spiritual practices.
Your wife (and self) are in our prayers.
Being recently diagnosed with MS (85% sure they are)... i get the spinal tap results to confirm on Monday, i found a treatment for zapping growths in the head called a Gamma Knife. Not used for my situation it seems but for tumors or growths it looks quite promising. Good luck hope all stays well.
Gamma Knife. Cool tool.

Well I am kinda worried she is having problems with her neck right now, do you think it has anything to do with her tumor? She is so stubborn! She wont go to the doctor.
Im glad she's OK. I will be thinking of her.
Well she doesnt seem to think it has anything to do with it, but seems like every little thing that revolves around it scares me.

Lots of different symptoms. Have your wife look at this. Neck pain is listed, but not common.
We are unable to answer this question. She needs to see her doctor to have the tumor progress assessed.
Ignoring it is not advisable. It's probably nothing..but it really must be evaluated, DD.
WOW,Thats,....a prettyintense situation to be in.Congrats on everything you have in life.

Well guys my wife is pregenant and the reason I am posting it in this thread is she has to have yet another C-section because of it. This will be her 3rd one. And yes my third child at 25!!! I kow its kinda crazy, but I am so pumped! So far so good with no headaches or anything like that! However she did faint the other day, but she gets that way whenever she gets pregnant. Just trying to update this and let everyone know whats going on!

I hope everything stays well with your family and congrats on the news of another baby. if your wife does need surgery down the road medicine will have evolved to be much more in her favor that at the time of the first surgery.
