    Weak body... advice please

Hello everyone out there.. I think i'll start by self-introducing before seeking for any advises.. I'm right now... a 19 years old boy who usually plays computer games, sleep , go to college, meet up with friends and sleep again... I can eat/don't eat whenever I want.. sometimes when I sleep really late.. then I would miss like 1/2 meals... and I didn't know it mattered at all haha... but now I want to be strong.. I really feel that I'm weak

Ever since young I've been identified as a weak boy.. Friends often tell me that I look really soft like a jellyfish... I am tall but I am skinny.. at the height of 180cm i'm only 60kg... yes that's underweight... I don't go for sports.... only table tennis sometimes... when I play basketball.. I can only stay in the court for 10 minutes then I'd be exhausted already... I stopped sports since I was 9 because I had ashma(forgot how to spell it, a kind of sickness that makes u hard to breath)... not only that reason.. I was too lazy to move... I can sit in front of the computer whole day eating only once.. but now.. I want to change myself... so I really need some advice.... about what I should do or what I should not do... I want to build some muscles.. I want to look stronger... the first thing came into my mind is to go to gyms.. I don't know if thats the right thing... so everyone out there.. advice please ^^ your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Condition of myself: Feel sleepy often( think that's caused by masturbathing once/twice a day) is that too much? , Feel dizzy sometimes when I am at home doing nothing/ when I play basketball.

    SkyintheSea,

    Welcome to IM.

you have come to a very good place for information as there are many knowledgeable people here that work in the industy of health, fitness and wellness. We are all willing to help out and give advice. We do this for FREE here, because this is our pashion and what we love to do. Even though we all have clients that we work with one on one in personal settings, this is how we make our living, we still come here to help others and give GENERAL advice. Since we can't be there to see you and assess the situation (a big part of working one on one with someone and getting specific advice is the assessment), we can only give general guidance in the hopes that you take that advice and put it to good use and find out which of it works best for you.

By the sound of your first post, correct me if I am wrong, you seem to be pretty deconditioned and you don't have the sllightest idea of how to get your body back to neutral. You have fallen to far under the radar, so to speak. Reading the stickines will help give you some ideas of where to go but I would urge you to try and find someone in your area that can sit and work with you personaly in a one on one setting, as it seems, that you are going to need someone to be there to be accountable for you. If I may ask, where do you live, possibly someone here could make a recomendation for you.

Welcome to IM, SkyIntheSea. Thank-you for posting.

P-funk is absolutely correct. You have a brick wall coming at you - the point at which continuing on with your present lifestyle will cause major health problems.

The best way to tackle the changes you need to make in your sleep habits, your daily routine, diet, and exercise - will only happen if you have someone working with you personally, one-on-one. We can help answer questions, and give you additional help once you get started.

Deconditioned means that your body is so far out of normal condition that you must make significant and determined changes in your lifestyle. You have to bring it back to neutral...to a good starting point to begin training, and with it, you have to re-establish normal sleep and eating patterns again.

You can't continue as you are now. That will be disasterous, pretty soon, too. Your body is already starting to tell you this. Work with P-funk to find a local trainer and start from there. Stay with us as a member. We can work with you in the diet, training and this section, health, to help you as well.
