Shoulda been more clear. I didn't drop straight from 3800 to 1600. I started my 'cut' Last novemeber, and lost no weight. I started by dropping calories by 5- 10% and kept doing that every week or two. Every 6 - 8 weeks I would take a dieting break and increase calories giving my body good amount of protein, EFA's and heathly carbs.
Since Last novemeber to August I tried everything. High carbs, low carbs, no carbs, high protein, high fat, low fat (up to 250G a day), Carb cycling, Refeeds, etc. You name it I tried it but nothing was working. Went to Toronto and changed up my menu and then the weight fell off. I'm currently eating around 2400 - 2800 cals a day (depending on the workout, be it weights or cardio) and seem to be maintaining. I haven't eaten in the 3000's calorie range in a long time, I think I either destroyed my metabolism or whatever was sending my metabolism through the roof (cuase 130-140 pounds and eating 3800 cals was quite a bit!) has stoped. Sadly ![]() I still eat healthy carbs too, but having a cup or two of SF FF ice-cream, or some rice cakes etc. a day blended in with a diet high in protein (around 240G a day), fibre (around 70G a day), vegetables (11-15 cups a day) and omega 3 fatty acid supplements shouldn't have an impact on my overall health should it? (I don't eat 1/2 a cake and a litre of ice-cream everyday hahaha .. on average I might have a night like that every 2 - 3 weeks.) |
