    F#cking Presciption Drug Costs

    Goddamn...wtf...

    <rant>

So I went to pay for my antibiotics, and I have health insurance, but it's not full coverage. The bottle contains 10 tablets of Avelox at 400 mg a tablet.

I went to check out, and they were like, that'll be 103 03. I was like oh wow, only 1 dollar and 3 cents? They pointed to the screen. 103.03$. WTF!!!!!!!!!! There must be a mistake I have coverage. No, says the lady, you did get covered--it was 153.03, insurance covered 50.

    WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It's 10 Pills... That's like 15 dollars a fuckin' pill before coverage!!!?!

In the UK we have the NHS or National Health Service (which I work for) and prescriptions are about $ 11.70. Whatever the drug is.

    Immigrate.

BD, what the hell, use your brains!

    http://www.pharmacyrxworld.com/produ...=Google_Avelox

Did you not bother to check around? You are getting charged 12x for that quantity (100 pills for 80 bucks on line with a script!).

What the hell?? Have no clue on comparison shopping? You could have had it ordered and overnited. You knew you were going to run out of medication!

As soon as you heard that charge, you should have turned around and marched out of there and gone looking for a more reasonable source. A quick look online would have answered the question IMMEDIATELY, whether you were being gouged or not.

Next time, instead of getting , get smart!

Sorry Luv, but the last time I peeped BBCNews, the NHS was STILL in crisis mode.

NHS is always in the news. Usually about something BAD or wrong.

However, the 4 hour turn around time in A/E is being met by a lot of hospitals and they are working to standardise care across all the Hospital Trusts.

I would rather have an national health service than no national health service.

American Drug costs are the biggest scam ever. When My mom had cancer she could get her perscriptions in Canada for 10% of the cost in America......and the drugs she got in Canada were the same exact American drugs made by the same company. Our medical system is 100% corrupt and evil.
I highly recommend all IronMagLabs supplements!

There are regular 'drug runs' from the US to Canada where mostly seniors come over to get their stuff here. Presently they dont save as much as in the recent past as the Canadian dollar has gained against the US dollar. But they save nevertheless. This has the big Pharmacutical companie's panites in a twist and their are constantly trying to stop this.
