    Milage watch

Anybody know of any cheap mile tracking watches?
I'm looking to do my long distance running off the track, so it can be a bit more interesting. But at the same time I would like to time myself and keep track of the miles for recording purposes.
I looked around at Dick's Sporting Goods today, only to be dissapointed with triple figure price tags. Any good places to shop for a basic watch? I could care less what else it has as long as it can track milage and be a stopwatch.

    Thanks

    Pedometers are only like $15-20

    Use that with your stopwatch...

I used to drive the course in my car or on a bike to get the distance
    and then run it

Or run in a park where the trail lengths are already mapped

Have Problems?... Chances are its due to overpopulation

But where did you find it!? There is a target locally, should I check there? I can't say I've seen one in years, but then again I don't look out for them.
I too have used the tripmeter to judge milage, but I think it sometimes hurts me when I know exactly how far to run... I want to zone out at times and just put down as many as I can, without thinking anything about it.

There's a company called Garmin which makes a product called the Forerunner - they use GPS systems to track your speed and distance. They just revamped their line so you can probably find a used Garmin 101 on Ebay for less than $100. Most other units will run you over $200 new but if you check Ebay sometimes you can get a good deal. Search under Garmin and see what comes up.

Other good units: Nike Triax (has a shoe pod), Polar RS200 (also shoe pod), and the Timex Bodylink GPS rocks but it is very expensive.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
