    Heart Problem...

It's been 25 years carrying this heart failure of mine. My doctor prescribed me to take my maintenance regularly which I feel that my heart failure getting worst and more dependent on it. That's why I am planning to quit taking my maintenance, and just take a pain releiver everytime I need it. What can you suggest? Is it okay for me to quit knowing that I am already dependent to it? Is there any alternatives rather than taking medecines?

It sounds like your current medication has stopped working at its present dosage.

Either the dosage needs to be adjusted or the medication changed. See a second doctor for another opinion on this problem.

I'm sorry but we can't help you with your question. I can tell you that you cannot stop taking heart medication - that may be fatal. You need to be evaluated by a medical specialist. Its well beyond our ability to help you in this situation, which I am guessing is an enlarged heart and cardiac pumping capacity issues.

I hope you can be given medication that will work better for you.

That's my current plan, to consult another doctor to have another option.
