    Pain around my sternum?

I just started doing a Westside template and a few days ago when doing dips I noticed some pain in my chest. It doesn't feel like muscle related pain however. I only feel in sometimes when I am in certain positions laying down or something to that effect. It's not unbearable, but it has been there on and off for a few days, any ideas on what I did? The location feels where the pec hits the sternum area on the right side.

I'm willing to bet it's the cartilage between ribs.

Really? Anything to combat it, I just had a push day and without dips I didn't really feel it. Just stay away from the dips?

I did that once doing really heavy dumb bell flys... separated the cartilage..

Hurt like shit - took a long time to heal - now it just cracks (but doesn't hurt) everytime I start my push routine..

Maybe add a few extra rest days, and then do a light day and see how you feel. Cartilidge heals relatively fast with proper rest.
