    Sore Throat

I have been waking up with a sore throat everyday, sometimes it is not that bad and goes away in a couple of hours, but sometimes it is really bad that I don't want to swallow my saliva. I thought this only happened to people that still had their tonsils (I got mine removed about 5 years ago) Whats going on? Can it be an allergic reaction to something that I am eating? Is there anything I can drink to ease the pain? any suggestions? thanks

How long has this been happening? Could it be your tonsils? Maybe strep?

Go to your GP and get a strep test.

well I got it bad a month ago for about 3 days, than I stopped getting it for about 20 days, and now I always feel it a little bit in the morning than it goes away, but today it is bad. I had tonsils removed... The only symptom I am feeling is pain while swallowing so I don't think it is strep.

(I haven't took any medicine for it, even last month, just let it go by itself)

Hmm, maybe the air in your room is too cool/dry and if your breathe through your mouth it could aggrivate it.

This is kind of a long shot...but have you had an air quality test in your house? Could be some sort of fungus or mold that is bothering your throat, I doubt it though.

something really freaky is going on. I woke up today, and my eyes (by the eyelashes) were glued shut with white goo, It took me like 30min to clean it all out, I don't know what the hell is going on.

and I know how many gay jokes alot of you want to make right now, but please don't.

OMG it happened again today to my eyes (even worse), and my throat is still soar. Has the eye thing ever happened to anyone else? Even when I am awake a little bit of white goo comes out every 30 mins or so. What the hell is going on?! I think I am just going to have to find a way to get some money so I can go to a doctor out here.

actually acouple of months ago there was mold on my ceiling (I live in an apartment with people over me). We called the maintenece man, and they supposedly cleaned it up, and painted over it, but I can still see it a little bit.

no, but I suggest that you go to a walk-in clinic, you could probably even go to one that bills on a sliding scale if you don't have insurance.

I find gargling asprin really helps too. Made a massive difference when I had glandular fever.

I second this, for the pain. Salt water is to clean the infected area.

Lemon, apple cider vinegar, Cayenne and honey tea

Add one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and a pinch of cayeenne pepper plus the juice of a lemon and a dab of honey in hot water. Stir. Enjoy. Drink 4-5 cups a day. Great for colds too.

I read your post and you say it's only in the morning that your throat is sore? You could have GERD: http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/gerd/

Acid reflux can cause a wicked sore throat.

No thoughts come to mind about your eyes though...

    Hope that helps!

Honestly, MinO. You don't remember! Keke was there flexing his guns to cheer Mike up- he had all the young female nurses smiling. When he came to we fed him strawberry ice cream. I distinctly remember you with a tear in the corner of your eye- whispering in Mike's ear: " glad you're back son, glad you're back."
