    Bodyfat % Estimate

I wanted to see if somebody could give me a rough estimate of my bodyfat percentage. I tried using calipers but it's hard for me because I lost 120lbs two years ago and so my midsection has a little loose skin which you can see in pics 4 and 5. I'm 6'0, 162 lbs., and 21 yrs. old. My loose skin isn't too bad though because you can only see it when I sit or bend over so it's not too bad. I do have stretch marks though.
I also wanted to get estimates because I found out this week that due to recurring back problems I have to take two months off of weights and the ONLY exercise I can do is the reumbant bike. I wanted to see if you guys thought I should try to lose some weight/fat during this time by doing some cardio sessions each week. Any comments appreciated.

I feel your pain about the loose skin and marks!

Kudos for all ure hard work!!

U can get readings from places other than ure stomach with calipers, in fact, a 7 fold test is ideal... Just google it, u can find sites that will give u instructions on where to get breadings from and even enter them in a template for bf% calculation!

Well done on the amazing weight loss. Kudos to you sir...

I am in a pretty similar situation to you. I lost about 60lbs over the course of 18 months but went about it really wrongly. I starved myself and exercised a lot. I got the weight off but loose skin was a problem in the lower abdomen\upper groin area. I then started doing things right. Eating healthy x6 a day, cardio, sensible weight training and it did help to some degree though it is still noticeable. I just have to accept that I do not have the right body type to get that elusive 6 pack without surgery
Proteins are good... Fats are good... Carbs are the problem!

    Learn how to spell.

I would estimate your bf at around 12-14%, but obviously the only sure way to find out is to have a bf test. Congrats on the weight loss by the way
