    Getting back in the gym

Hi Guys and Gals, well it's been a while since I have been in a gym (12 months), however it's come time for me to shed a few kilos and pack on some mass. Work has seen me travelling too often and have been too jet laged - All excuses!!!!

I am 41 years old, pretty fit, but have put on about 10 kilos of beef around the stomach that I am desperate to shed.

I'm looking for a program that keeps me in pushing weight the gym for 4 to five days and a cardio program 4/5 days a week. I am looking for an all over change of lifestyle. Diet, gym and cardio.

Anyone have a decent program that will see me right, until I sort myself out and get used to the idea of training again. Until I work out what's working and what's not?

Lastly, I have a question about pre wor out nutrition. Is it good to protein shake prior to an immediately after a work out? Or is the latest craze to W/O on an empty stomach - Something I cant do. Very keen to find out the good oil from the experts out there.

Thanks for your time. Looking forward to reading your replies.

there is no canned program, but if you're looking for a book/manual I recommend the following:

otherwise start reading up in the Training and Diet/Nutrition forums and start asking specific questions, we also have a ton of articles on Bodybuilding Magazine | Bodybuilding Website | Natural Bodybuilding | Fitness Site
