    Pink eye

    Pink Eye

I get this once every year at the onslaught of spring. Use this as a guide-you can cure pink eye with over the counter stuff. I cleared it up with a basic saline solution for contacts. Worked beautifully. Just be sure to empty the entire bottle. Forget the doctor and the ridiculous meds they prescribe; they dont work.

What do you mean by "pink eye". Are you talking about the fact that your eyes are always red and not clear like it should be? I'm just wondering because my eyes are ALWAYS red and i do wear contacts so that doesn't help either. I mean, even when i wake up after a fresh 8 hours of sleep it's still red. I went to my eye doctor and he told me that my body doesn't produce enough moisture for my eyes and prescribed a special kind of eye drops. Even when i used those, they didn't work or help at all.

since pink eye is almost always from a virus most people don't need to see a doctor for it. However, sometimes corneal abrasians can mimic pink eye and that can be problematic

true, but it happens every year. I know it is pink eye, since I have mad allergies and no eyelashes (because of alopecia), the goo cant get filtered out and I need special drops for it. I hate this time of year on account of it.

yeah, some people's allergies present every year with pink eye and here in georgia where the pollen count is over 5,000 these people are miserable. I think the mast cell inhibitor or ocular antihistamine for allergic conjunctivitis is now over the counter too, so another reason to not have to see the doctor.

If you have pink-eye you should see a doctor if you have insurance to knock it out faster. I also get it at least once a year. It usually spreads to both eyes and causing a massive infection. My usually can't open my eyes at night because the pus and infection fills my eyes and forms a crust over them.
