How to chose a Physical Therapist

What should be some things to consider?

I guess I am just pessimistic with the whole medical field, it seems next to impossible to find someone you trust with regards to your health. I have never had good luck finding a professional, from my Family Doc, to Chiro, to Physio when I was younger.

It just seems a lot of them have blinders on to specific ideologies that they are familiar with.

I am sure I am not the only one in this boat, but I would like to hear some suggestions on how to choose a PT and what you look for?

    Thanks

"How to chose a physical therapist"?

Is there a shortage of "o"s up there?

Referrals. Nothing beats two good referrals. Except maybe three.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

yeah referrals from people doing similar physical sports is good eg. Bodybuilding

From my experience, being cross-trained in myotherapy is a big plus. My long-term rhomboid/rotator injury responded really well to a combination of treatments in each session including accupuncture, cupping, soft-tissue manipultion and specific correctional exercises recommended.

Depending on specific need, a range of treatments are better.

I agree with the referral suggestion. The one time I needed a PT, I got a recommendation from my doctor. Several other people all agreed he was excellent. Turned out they were correct.

See that is the thing. I wouldn't trust my doctor as far as I can throw her. She is a useless bitch, that is more worried about pushing her cosmetic procedures.

I also don't have the network of people to use as a referance, as I moved here later on in life, and don't really know anyone that would be dealing with an injury similar to mine. On top of that it is a small center population of 100K and there are only 3-4 PT clinics to chose from, well that look semi-respectable.
