Lowing my calories got rid of my heartburn.

But, now I have the most stomach gas I have ever had. Instead of puking up "acid balls" as I call them, I just have to burp continuously with massive amounts of air. I know its the diet because this happened the day after I started cutting.
I am on a very low carb, no sugar diet.

I'm not complaining, and I am thrilled that my heartburn has gone away. I was having to eat 3 pepcids a day. Now I just burp every 30 seconds. Thats a lot of upper GI gas. Something is weird. Anybody know what might be happening here?

Ohhhh bad bad bad. Common misconception is to reduce stomach acid. I have a different approach for you. Stop the antacids first of all. No immediately. Those things will do more harm than good.

So signs of HCL deficiency is heartburn, stomach indigestion, belching, bloating, GERD, Acid reflux etc....

What you should be using is Hydrocloric Acid with each protein meal. Believe it or not but your symptoms are a result of low stomach acid, not too much acid.

Try it out. HCL is cheap. I'd be willing to bet you see a huge difference when you take the HCL.

I take HCL because I have low acid. Most people do. Please read the article I did on digestion when you get a chance. It might help understand a bit more.

Also here is a link on low acid stomach and heartburn. Indigestion, Heartburn, and Low Stomach Acidity
