    Whats up with my shoulder?

Heres the story, it was my sisters wedding reception, everyone was dancing, and I wasn't into it. Then I had several glasses of wine, and some vodka, I ask my cousin to battle me in breakdancing. So I think I tried doing a flare, but then all of a sudden I collapse completely holding my shoulder tight to me, it felt really stiff and weird, I thought it was seperated. I jerked it a little bit then all of a sudden, it wasn't so painful anymore. It felt stiff the entire night, and also the next day. Today, its feeling improved, but still a little stiff when I do certain movements, like raising my hand, or reaching across my body (its my right arm btw). I thought maybe I seperated it, but then after reading some stuff on shoulder seperations, I noticed that I didn't need anybody to put my shoulder in place, there was no swelling, and its feeling a lot better really quickly.

Do you guys think I should talk to my doctor anyway, in case it was seperated? Or does it not seem like a seperated shoulder?

Yes, I think you should see a doctor and get referred to a specialist. IME with GP's they don't really look into injuries like that too much and just send you off with some advil. You're probably going to have to push for a referral. I personally wouldn't want to risk guessing with a shoulder problem.

You may not have to get one, but my advice to you is to walk out of the doctor's room feeling like you know everything you came to find out.

I would go to an orthopedic surgeon.

I should mention that today, 2 days after the incident, my shoulder is feeling more improvement, is it still necessary for a doctors visit?

You could've sublexed it, or just maybe pulled a muscle. Sounds like you started busting out without a warm up, break dancing can be taxing on your joints and some sort of warm up before hand is probably necessary.

Honestly, to be perfectly safe, you should go see a doc to rule out possible structural damage. But if you say its gotten a lot better you could wait it out another day or two and see what happens and go from there.
