    donating plasma

Just went today and donated plasma! I would not recommend this to anyone.
I got dizzy and sweaty. Then I blacked out and went into shock. Had to be hooked up to an iv. And to top it off my right knee is so sore I can barely put any weight on it to walk. Person there says maybe its from an old injury and getting so dehydrated must of affected my joints/muscles. I have drank so much water today and still cant walk. If you do donate make sure you drink alot of water and eat before you go! I told them I have not they still let me donate . Plus I had a quit smoking patch on and they knew this and said no problem. I later was told from another member of their staff that is really dangerous. wasnt worth the $35.oo I got! Was a scary and exhausting experience and I dont believe its good for your body to go so many times. Half the people there go there like twice a week. Geez! I only went because I am inbetween job. Made me think about putting apps in everywhere now! I only wanted gas money till I get my last check this friday! never again.
So, be careful and remember water lots of it. I dontknow what caused my reaction but I wish they would of told me no . they even asked me if I drank water before i came in or ate I told them no. To most of those people I dont think they get paid very much and they dont care just as long as they get paid every week so be careful........!!!

Good job donating plasma! I've been thinking about it, but so far have only donated blood. I can donate plasma during work hours and watch a DVD while donating, then they give you free movie tickets and lunch.

I think the health benefit to others outweighs the risk to myself.
