Do you mean that you pulled a muscle in your neck?

Stop sticking long cylindrical objects in your throat, or ask the other guy to slow down! --->

How bad is the pain? How long ago did it happen?

What have you tried so far to ease the pain?

I've had these before. They can be pretty bad. There's not too much that you can do for it. I used hot and cold presses.

Mostly though, you just need to take some time off and let it heal. Mostly...

Just give it a week or so. It'll work itself out.

I did that on Friday. Must have slept wrong or something and it's still hurting albeit not as bad.

I've got the same thing going on right now only mine has gotten worse over the last 2 days. I can't move my head at all right now. Even when I swallow I get a shooting pain in my neck.

I've had that, too. It will go away. For me, I found that it goes away faster if you try to move it often. Try some neck stretches. But, again, that's me and you may react differently.

Those of us who feed on the pain sort of enjoy doing that, most others don't like it so much.

I can get it to feel decent during the day (stretching, moving, massaging) but as soon as I go to sleep it hurts too much to sleep. I woke up at 2AM this morning and took a 1/2 hour long shower. When I woke this morning to get ready for work, I couldn't even bend over to put shoes on.

I'm the kind of person that will mess with an aching tooth constantly, or keep trying to move a sprained limb, etc. I thought maybe I was hurting my neck more by moving it, so I didn't yesterday and it seemed to get worse. If it doesn't get any better by tomorrow, I'm going to the doc to get some drugs.

Get yourself at heating pad, or something to warm it up, at the pharmacy. Apply it for 15 mins then do lots of neck stretching. That's what I've been doing and it helps.

I had the same problem for the first two weeks. Hell, the first weeks was pure pain when my muscle got cold while I slept. I'd wake up at 2AM and it took me 10 minutes just to get out of bed.

Purchase some BioFreeze. This stuff would know my back pain down by 50%. It's worth its weight in gold for back pain.

I'll check into it. Have you used BioFreeze before? That shit is incredible. If this stuff is better, it's probably morphine-based.

I hate it when that shit happens, and there is no avoiding it. You do all you can to stretch and warm up, then you feel a slight twitch in your neck while working out and you know right away that you are done for four days.
