    Need help with helping someone.

I feel kinda bad using the word obese,a freind of my freinds started chilin with us,Super cool guy. He's a Big dude, but I dont know if I would call him obese,he says he is 460lbs and he is huge, but he moves around like a fit person. We had to hop a fence to get to this camp site we made and I thought he was gonna need help, but he just sorta hurdled over it (better than I did)I havent seen him do any physical activities, like basketball or running,But I have seen him climb a mango tree with no problem and hop a fence and walls......The thing is,I'm kinda worried about his health,If you knew somoene( not really good, but hung out a couple times with them) who weighed that much, would you bring up dieting and excercing to them?If so,how would you do it without offending them?I dont wanna offend him or piss him off. He's about my age,a little older though.Like mid thirties.Polynesian 6 '4 ft tall.
I would like to help him lose weight and get in shape.

It's probably going to be hard to tell someone they are overweight without offending them, even if you do it nicely.

Wait till he brings it up himself, or bring up a conversation that could lead there. Talk to him about his lifts or if he goes to a gym or something, and work it in from there.

Yeah I would start out by talking about going to the gym and say something about him being a big and he could probably lift a lot and see if he says anything about going to the gym. It would be a good way to kind of compliment him and lead into trying to help him.

Thanks guys,I was able to bring it up and seems he is embarassed to go to the gym.Could just walking at night or early morning be just as benefitful as going to the gym? He's down for walking. What would be a good amount of time? like for someone that big.......30 minutes? an hour? I hit the gym early in the morning but I told him I would go walking with him in the late evening.....Im just kinda worried I wont get the rest I need.
we got into talking about diet and excercise and I have no real idea what to tell someone to eat other than, eat lots of salads and clean foods, like yogurt and cottage cheese and chicken breasts.Drink like a gallon of water and take vitamins and protein shakes.

Recommend him here. Seriously, that would be a really easy, giant step. All the info he'll ever need he'll find between posts or stickies, and you have more people to keep your workouts effective and consistent.
