    Buffalo Anyone? I made this burger for lunch...

    i had this for lunch and it was pretty good....

    4 ounces of ground buffalo (30g protein, 130 calories)
    Sourdough Bread (32g carb, 2g fat, 180 calories)
    blue cheese crumbles (8g fat, 100 calories) per ounce
    fresh spinach
    tomato
    mushrooms
    red onions
    1 sweet potatoe cut into fries (30g carb, 135 calories)

    mix the ground beef with your favorite seasoning... i used garlic pepper and a pinch of seasoning salt... i sauteed the mushrooms and red onions in olive oil and garlic for a few seconds to make them soft. i baked the sweet potatoe fries instead of frying them

    Looks great. I've had these at Ted Turners Montana Grill. Buffalo meat is much leaner than beef but takes a little getting used to the strong gamey taste.

    Bison, twice the protein of beef, half the fat.

    you can always sub the cheese and bread... as far as the buffalo its actually leaner than beef and higher in amino acids and protein. its also much easier to find than beef that is grass fed.. they tend to be larger than cows and dont need the hormones for size

    yea i feel that!! i have pounds and pounds of chicken and turkey so i change it up from time to time... cant go wrong with fruit but i like the sweet potatoes cuz theyr slow digesting and tend to keep me satisfied until my next meal...

    how do you prepare your chicken?

    I did so;
    Crushed in a mortar, 1 vegetable stock (herbalist), 6 cloves garlic, 1 c. coffee ground ginger, 1 pinch of chili powder, a little olive oil and 1 dl of white wine.
    Then it is so for the grill

    i agree you can't eat chicken and turkey all the time. buffalo is a great meat. just dont over cook, or you'll get a nice piece of leather.
