    Question Protein Shake Help

    Hi All,

I am seeking some help regarding protein shakes.

    My current version is:
1 Scoop of low-fat, low GI (47) Ice Cream
    3 Scoops of Protein Powder
1/2 Cup of Low fat milk
    2 Strawberry's
    Teaspoon of honey
If I am particularly hungry I add some bananna.

My goals are to lose weight while adding muscle (Nirvana). Is there a better version of the Protein Shake than this one for me? How bad is the shake as listed above? Is one of these before bedtime going to do me more harm than good?

    Thanks for any help!

PS - Ohh yeah, I have been reading some posts that mention "heavy whipping cream" what the heck is that and does anyone know where in Australia you can get some or it's equivilant?

    Cheers

First one would need to know your stats

But generally....that's not gonna help you lose fat!

Drop the ice cream, double the amt of strawberries, mix w/ water instead of milk and add 3 tbsp of heavy cream....in the dairy section, in a carton, 50cals, 5 g fat per tablespoon...not whipped cream the sugared dessert

I typically use some natural peanut butter, pasteurized egg whites and either ice, or some soy milk....depending on how cold I want it...I used to put bananas in, but I think they messed up my stomach...

    Thanks for the response people.

I tried your shake w8, not as nice as my ice cream version but there is probably a reason for that It wasn't too shabby though and I will stick with it.

Thanks to you also Freeman, I haven't got around to trying yours yet though I have it printed out for my next shopping day.

As for my stats, I would love some more advice on nutrition so I might do a more detailed post to the nutrition forum in a couple of days, any help you could give me there would be much appreciated.

    Cheers
