Protein Brownie

Take a scoop (or so) of chocolate protein. Add 1T coco, and some sweetener. Mix together with water, so its the consistency of cake batter. Microwave in a plastic bowl for around 30 seconds. Thats it, a brownie!!! I like it when its a little undercooked, and still runny and gooey on the inside.

Haha well that's not a very complicated snack now is it? How much do you put in? Does it taste good?

Homer: Hey! I saved your life! That egg sandwich could have killed you by cholesterol.
Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human
blood stream.

That actually becomes a brownie? Don't you have to add an egg in it or anything?

I would imagine microwaving whey might not be the best idea

Peace.

Yeah I was thinking that too Premo, but I did just try it out. I added too much liquid, but even then it was beginning to take a browny type texture; i'm pretty sure the protein quality would be destroyed but hey it still tastes pretty damned good.

You tried it? Yummy eh?? Do you think the protein would actually be destroyed by cooking it for only 30 seconds???? Maybe if were a few minutes, but whats 30 seconds?

You can also try adding in a T of natty peanut butter, Ive never, just dont keep the stuff in my house anymore! I bet it would taste good though.

very true...

microwaving whey is a very bad idea...whey protein fractions are very heat sensitive and are easly damaged and rendered unusable for anabolic processes.

if you are going to cook with protein powders use milk proteins or egg white protein...

This is one thing I've always wondered
When you mix whey protein into food and leave it overnight, are you risking potential damage to the whey fractions?
How about if you mix whey into water and just leave it there for an indefinite period of time without consuming it right away?

Peace.

I doubt all the protein goes to shit in 30 seconds darling. Maybe *some* of it *starts* to break down. I say don't worry, you're not trying to be the next Mr. Olympia

I can do it

Made this tonight, I really liked it! Nice little treat.

A little dry, but it was fine.

I know a microwave can damage some of the protein fractions because the heat is soo high but will cooking these brownines in the stove hurt the protein also. Hola back !
