I steam mine.

Why shouldn't you stir fry them?

I eat them raw Broccoli I might boil a little, but not too much. If I cook them I cook them with my chicken, making a nice stir fry. Without the oil of course, that just makes my soggy..

some raw but others like onions, mushrooms, broccoli and that sort I liked slightly grilled or 'steam fried' (stir fryed in water not oil)

i'm so lazy....i "drizzle" water on them (we're talking drops here) and nuke 'em for 20-30 seconds (no longer!). it's fast and they're still crispy. i hate overcooked/limp veggies plus boiling 'em sucks out the nutrients.

OMG, you guys a really healthy bunch, nuke them, boil them, steam them! Jodi's the best - you mean you just defrost them and eat?? And here I expected gourmet recipes

Anyways, P funk, I stir-fry mine in oil, olive, but still, trying not to fry lotsa stuff. Someone just gave me an idea - grill them with a drop of olive oil, tried that in a mexican restaurant once...

I just get frozen veggies and throw 'em in a pan to cook. Occassionally, I'll steam 'em.

~The hardest part about eating a vegetable is the wheelchair.~

Vegetables are at their most nutritious when they are raw.

Just make sure to wash them thoroughly.

What I do is juice them. Simple, tasty and effective.

you could juice practically any vegetable but you need to experiment coz some combinations may be bitter. Avoid juicing carrots.

You could try:

cucumbers , celery, lettuce, spinach, fennel, cabbage, greens etc. You could also try herbs.

I mix the pulp back into the juice - makes it healthier.

Raw, Steam, or Barbeque

I don't use a juicer anymore but when I did carrot juice was the best. It was like liquid speed, got me going better than coffee.

I do veggies in the raw, unless the rest of the family is eating, then I steam em.

I believe you stated you are living in Malaysia. In South East Asia, I am concerned about restaurants using palm oil. I have Olive Extra Virgin at home. By when eating out, I don't know what they do. I am assuming they are using Palm oil.

Yup I am in Malaysia, here it's corn oil most of the time, havent heard if palm oil is popular, but either way, I mix them with lots of rice ( when I have to eat out), then pick them out leaving the oil and rice behind... best I can do ....

hey there Snafu, your post abt palm oil got me very careful, and imagine my horror when I noticed the other day that ALL locally roasted nuts I've been eating are "roasted with palm oil"... I though roasting doesnt even involve oil, let alone coconut/palm oil!
