You know, I was actually wondering last week what could be made with chocolate protein powder. Seems like there would be all kinds of things you could bake with it.

Anyway, thanks for the kick-ass recipe! I'll definitely try it someday. I'm a guy and we suck at cooking, but maybe I can figure it out.

Maybe.

Thanks! Is the chocolate protein powder for the chocolate taste, or for added protein? i mean, if I don't put it in, will it still taste like chocolate?

this would make 8 small servings, 6 med. servings or 4 good sized servings. (ie enough protein each).

the chocolate protein powder adds not only protein but flavour as well. leaving it out would change the taste, macronutrients and texture of it.

Tried making it last night, and I obviously must have done something wrong because it came out tasting pretty awful.

For the crust I ended up mixing together 6 graham crackers with 1 whole raw egg and 1 egg white. Mixed this together until it formed a consistency. Formed the crust into a greased pan and cooked for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

For the cheesecake itself I used:
- 1.5 cups 1% cottage cheese
- .5 cup skim milk
- 2 scoops of Optimum whey protein
- 1.5 tbsp. Equal
- 2 tbsp. peanut butter
- 1 packet of Gelatin

And mixed this together until it formed a smooth consistency, or as smooth as I could get it with the hand mixer. Then poured this on top of the crust and let it sit overnight in the fridge. This morning I tried it and I was sadly dissapointed.

Did I do something wrong Jen?

well it sounds about right. I used more graham crackers though in the crust.

I put mine in the blender. and the key with the gelatin is to make sure you add it last and slowly. did u mix the gelatin as the package says first? you dont just dump the powder in the mixture.

I dont use Equal either.. perhaps its not sweet enough ?

sorry for posting in an old thread but I just found it.

I went out to get the ingredients today, but I found theres a little bit too much sugar in the grham crackers for me though, I was thinking of using that Atkins baking thing for pancakes, cookies etc. instead of the crackers but my friend said it wouldn't work, so would there be anything else I could use?
