Grilled Ostrich with Lime and Jalapeno

Grilled Ostrich with Lime and Jalapeno



Ingredients:

2 packages Ostrich Mignons or whatever cut you like
1 Tbls. fresh ground ginger
1 Tbls. fresh garlic
1/2 Tbls. chopped jalapeno
1/2 fresh lime
Salt and pepper
Cover ostrich with ginger, garlic, jalapeno, salt and pepper. Squeeze fresh lime over top and let stand for 1 hour at room temperature. Grill mignons over medium high heat 8 minutes for medium rare, turning once. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Where in Sac are you getting the Ostrich? I've had it before when I ordered it from a restaurant.

Hey I'mTrying. You can get ground ostrich, filets, or burgers at Whole Foods Market off Arden. There's one in Auburn, but when I did undergrad at UCD, I would always go to RedRum Burger. Heh the "Big Bird" special as they called it.
