Probably can but has to be within a timeframe from posting it. Haven't tried to but that's how it is elsewhere.
Edit: I just edited this post...are you on drugs...maybe it was too long after you posted it bro.
Why can't we edit our own post?

I must be on drugs
It has to be within a certain time
I did edit this one
you can't edit it if people respond to it
that sux
Is it the amount of time after it is posted or what.

It should be permanent

What, to have the ability to come back and change it at any time?
Maybe a one day window at the most. Definitely like the book aspect of posts and threads -- you write it, edit it within a reasonable amount of time, and then move on.
MuscleMag International's old message board has "forever editing" as their standard, but their board is a ghost town. They started a new one and it's looking pretty lame, too.
Bodybuilding dot com's forums allow 24 hours, I believe.
Give me ten minutes and I'm good to go. Rx Muscle only allows five minutes and that could be bumped up a bit, but you can always just post a follow-up.
What's your reasoning or thoughts for an eternal editing option? Or did I misinterpret?

If you strike me down(ban me)I'll become more powerful than ever.. Don't say i don't warn you.
Someone mentioned once that you can edit within an hour's time. I am part of another forum that you could edit at any time. Its convenient when you have an ongoing thread like a forsale thread because you can edit your original post to update what has been sold and what is new to sell. I would think it would be beneficial to have it for online journal as well. So you could edit your max weight if you are keeping track of them, instead of searching through pages and pages of it.
