satinless steel t-spoon left in the bag for a week went rusty, water wouldn't do this. the creatine eroded the chrome........

Post some snaps, unless its bogus creatine that SHOULD NOT happen.

Are you sure the spoon IS stainless steel? Try a magnet on it....

And don't consume that creatine now...it's contaminated!!

Posted by: supersetsam

haha i'm not to worried, just thaught i'd mention it. i did check with a magnet and yeah it stuck pretty hard.
if anyone's interested it's CEE powder from myprotein in the u.k, it's good creatine, works well.
I just happened to notice that the spoon i left in the bag had tarnished and had speckles of rust, on the bag it does also say Hcl, and going by the taste of this stuff i'm really not surprised it's done this.

It's the spoon & the moisture.....you got that, right?

I found out very quickly that CEE tastes nasty. I went to caps. You should not get a rusty spoon from CEE.

CEE

Posted by: Prince

IronMagLabs CEE is $22.99 and 60 three (3) gram servings.

Seeing as though CEE tastes like battery acid (literally - like licking four 9-volt batteries), I'm not surprised it's behaving like it too...

is your spoon stainless steel or chrome?

i don't think stainless steel can rust

Posted by: nkira

It wasn't stainless steel, my guess is that the moisture did the trick.....

nkira-am i right in thinking that the magnet should not stick to stainless steel very well? the spoon says stainless steel on it however it is from ikea............
regardless i find this odd as none of the others have anything like this going on, matter of fact they look perfect. The bag is air tight sealed and no moister has got onto the spoon.

CEE made my spoon go rusty aswell !

Posted by: supersetsam

anyone else got a god dam rusty spoon!?..........

Posted by: nkira

I have spent considerable time googling this CEE n rust issue & there's nothing on it.....

Can some one post a picture, Please.

Posted by: Chubby

There is nothing wrong with CEE, but I think something is wrong with your spoon.

Posted by: the7zen

It depends on the quality of the stainless steel, low quality steel are magnetic and can corrode easily, especially with high acidity food Ex: Pickles.

Posted by: nkira

That's what I have been thinking too.......

well the spoon is part of a set.....the others are perfect

nkira-don't worry too much, the creatine's still good, just thought i'd mention it. I can post pics if you'd like but i think it's easier to give a description.......it's a rusty spoon, tarnished with speckles of rust.

roastchicken-what's happening to your spoon?

Ummm, ok. Lets do what science does. Now try leaving a spoon in a plastic bag and see what happens to the spoon.

Posted by: nkira

What exactly are we expecting here?

This thread is turning into a chemistry experiment

I am hoping something really blows up!

you don't get out much do you?

Posted by: nkira

I do a lot in fact, I am Mechanical Engineer & that calls for visits at clients n process plant industries...

But I try to stay online when ever possible......

Why you ask that? Just curious...

Well, take a look at your own post count.....No offence.

I remember reading a some posts a while ago, about CEE and the acidity and its impact on tooth enamel.

Posted by: Prince

use CEE caps and avoid any of these issues.

Posted by: nkira

So it is the CEE that's rusting the spoon?......if it can rust chromium plated spoon it's quiet aggressive.

Posted by: supersetsam

CEE caps? same thing, if anyone was worried about this i'm sure the spoon would be the least of their worries..........you could just take it out the bag of course. I think it's more the health thing. But hey we all know what coca-cola drinks do to pennies etc......doesn't stop us from drinking them
