i usually drink my creatine + dextrose in one shake, then my protein shake (40g protein, 30g maltodextrose, 10g glutamine) after.

i posted that before, i was just wondering if it would be bad to just combine the two? would it effect the efficency of everything or absorbtion? or is it just fine to mix it all up?

Posted by: LAM

mix them all together there is no problem with absorption...

read a few other threads and answered it =/
ty though lam
i feel kinda bloated after 2 shakes after workouts lol

Posted by: Mifody

as long as you dont have flavoured type creatine like cell tech.
that'd be nasty.. fruit punch creatine with chocolate whey protein lol

Posted by: J1M

lol yeah, i just use regular powder creatine by optimum and pure dextrose. i've been looking at something called RecoverX, some of my friends have been taking it and they said its alot better and they just add creatine to it, i guess they take it because they hate mixing everything lol

Posted by: Mifody

maybe add a few grams of glutamine to that mix.. maybe thats what recoverx is, i dunno

hey guys. question about recoverx. looks like a great product if its all hydrolyzed whey. How do we know its not 98% whey protein concentrate. 2 % hydro. do we know? can someone explain to me? is it 40 grams of all hydro whey concentrate? im lost cus i thought hydro was from isolate..

Posted by: plouffe

I just don't like mixing my creatine + dextrose with my shakes because some creatine gets like caught in the blender and stuff. So I just make seperate shakes.

anyone have an answer to my hydrolysate question? thanks...

I used that for about 6 months about a year and a half ago. not a bad tasting post WO supplement, plus it definetly makes for a easy PWO shake. MuscleLink makes some good quality stuff.

WPC is the primary protein as it is listed first....hydrolyzed whey proteins are produced through a specific enzymatic process which breaks down the whey protein into it’s di and tri peptides...

i have heard that taking creatine and glutamine at same time is not good. they actually work against each other and should be taken about an hour apart. is this not true?

Posted by: zenreich6005

LAM, i know it has hydro whey. the problem is that it has more wpc than glucose and malto. this is because ingredients are listed from most used to least. so, theres more than 30 or so grams of wpc, so that would leave for a little under 10 grams of hydrolyzed whey and 30 grams of low grade stuff...see what im saying? am i wrong?

This is taken from body*****ing.com:-

Glutamine should not be taken at the same time as creatine because they compete for receptors to be absorbed. Take glutamine pre-workout and creatine post-workout.
I'm not seen studies to back this up but hope it's not true as my post workout formula (AfterMax) contains both!

they do not compete for receptors sites...that is a very old myth

I totally understand...but the whole purpose of that supplement is to make PWO supplementation simple and easy even though it may not contain the exact optimum amounts of the necessary components...

you can make your own PWO shake for much less cost per serving...

Posted by: zenreich6005

yeah thats bascially what i was thinking...gonna go with biotest surge for practically the same price. 25 grams of pure hydrolsates and then a 50 50 blend of dextrose and malto. 2 bucks a serving...looks like a fit..

Posted by: LAM

there are much better and cheaper protein out there than anything from Biotest...

Posted by: zenreich6005

hmmm really? 2 dollars for 50 grams of carbs and 25 grams hydro protein... seems good to me..

havnt seen anyone else selling hydrolyzed whey at all...besides xtreme formulations which is similar but 2.50 or so per serving
