Just wanted to hear some anecdotes on this. If you've tried Lyle's RFL or some type of PSMF diet, have you experienced strength losses on it? If so, how much strength did you lose?

Well, I've done 8 weeks of UD2 and experienced strength loss in my flat bench. That's about it.

Lyle has often stated that when dieting your pressing movements tend to suffer the most in terms of strength.

Right, but I think the RFL diet is a bit different than UD2.

IIRC Lyle has stated that people may actually gain some strength while on RFL, but I just wanted to hear if people have lost strength.

Not really. I've ran it several times and have lost negligible amounts of strength. Any drop in strength was just due to lack of energy from glycogen/slight dehydration - as soon as I did the refeed I was back to normal.

I've actually made strength GAINS on UD 2.0. The ridiculous energy levels that came from doing the refeeds let me break through several sticking points that I had.

The rapid fat loss system is basically a protein sparing modified fast. The calories are very low, so I think you are likely going to lose some strength on it.
