It has been 3 months ago now since i have even been able to lift.

The problem I am having is a pulling/painfull/tingeling/sharp pain right under my left breast muscle to the left of my sternum. It will shoot under my heart area and sometimes i feel like i am having a heart attack.

I have done the following.

Went to the doctors and had ekg they then sent me to a heart specialist i did a stress test and had an echo cardiogram and they said i was 100% fine. The only thing they found was i had a mytral valve prolapse which is very very minor and about 1 out of 2 people have it and dont even know it.

I think that it is a muscle or some kinda cartlidge that i have torn. The reason i say this is becasue after it goes away for a few days if i do anything at all like move the wrong way twist the wrong way or pick anything up the following day it will hurt bad and start all over again. The pain moves from the sternum area to the left of my chest going in a straight line.

Has anyone had this problem if so what is it. Its pretty annoying and I would love to be able to lift weights again someday.

Thanks in advance for any feedback and sorry about the mispells i am sure there is many.

Impossible to tell. Could be nerve related (radiculopathy or more of a peripheral impingement), could be something else. You really should go get it diagnosed by someone, a physical therapist, or sports medicine doc. You can then take it from there. Try some ice/heat therapy, ROM stuff with your arms, light stretching, light SMR. If it hurts then don't do it, if it helps then keep at it. It might hold you over till someone takes a look at you and figures out the problem.

Swimming is always the best rehabilitation!

An unsung vet buddy of mine at the gym works out from AND off a wheelchair. I'll stop there.

Another vote to try swimming.

Give it time buddy. Stop working out for a couple of months. A slightly more hindered physique is better than a hindered lifestyle (wheelchair)
