How about them Broncos?

4-0

Posted by: I Are Baboon

They're playing well! They have a brutal schedule the next six games though:

New England
San Diego
Baltimore
Pittsburgh
Washington
San Diego

A little break with that Washington game, but that is one tough stretch of games.

Posted by: Prince

I know, at least the NE game is a home game, then after the SD game they have a bye week.

Posted by: I Are Baboon

I think they'll win the Washington game and one of the San Diego games. If they can find one win out of the other four, going 3-3 in that stretch will be pretty good. Their schedule softens up after that. I think any Broncos fan would have taken a 7-3 start before the season began.

Posted by: Prince

I cannot believe we're 4-0, its basically a whole new team including coaches.

hopeful optimism guys. the broncos were 3-0 last year and 5-3, and 8-5 all last year. starting strong and finishing weak is how denver works.

hopeful optimism. don't anger the football Gods

with a new coaching staff and several new starters (including the QB) I don't think you can really compare this year's team to last years.

fine but it makes no sense, we have a new head coach, new defensive coach, a new quarterback, and numerous other new players this year, compare all you want but it's not a valid comparison as the team has changed too much.

When I played midget football, I was on the Broncos. Other than that, I really don't give a shit.

But four wins is four wins. Some people didn't think they'd get that all season. Kyle Orton is playing really well.

The NFL is more interesting when Denver has a good team.

When the record turns out to be the same we can talk about it being a valid comparison or not.

it still won't matter, it's a whole new team, if their record is the same it's coincidence.

Dude, they are 4-0 and nobody expected shit from them this year. They were being touted as a 4 or 5 win team and they've already achieved that.

It is amazing how that defense has changed. shit 26pts against in 4 games.

First game last year they had 40pts against.

I am 5'11". If I was 5'11" though when I played midget football, I would have owned that league. It probably would have been tough to make weight though.

5-0!

Posted by: Double D

I am very impressed with their coaching! And who the hell would think Kyle Orton would be any good!

Posted by: Dale Mabry

I know, they played well. I am relegated to the fact that my Pats are a first round playoff loss if they even make it that far. Tom won't get his timing back in time to give them enough wins to contend with the Saints, Colts, and Jets left on the schedule. The Broncos look good, I would just worry about Orton fading like he does every year. That defense is top notch, but a couple of the flags yesterday on the Broncos during clutch times (2 4th and 4 conversions) show their youth.

I see them taking their division, but probably not home field with that schedule. They have NYG, PHI, IND, PIT,and BAL all left, and SD 2x. I thought the Pats had it bad schedule-wise, for a team this young to seem like a division lock with that schedule says something. For the first year in a long time, I see the NFC looking much stronger than the AFC.

True, but most thought we would lose against the Patriots yesterday.

I finally see some passion back on the field, it has not been this way since Elway retired.

I thought they would lose yesterday, as well. The thing is, the way they won it was so good, coming from behind...with Kyle Orton? Rex Grossman's back-up? I never thought Cutler was that good, but Orton wasn't an upgrade. Kudos to them.

It was a great game! Props to the Broncos. We had some many ways to make plays yesterday and we just didn't pull through. I do think however, that if we won the coin toss the Pat's would have won. I don't like the OT rules.

The Patriots did get to make the call on the flip of the coin. They just chose wrong.

I agree about the OT rules. They don't seem equitable. IMO.

what would you suggest?

Play an extra 15 minute period. If a regular season game is still tied, that's the final result. Playoffs would continue until a winner was decided.

Same as college Start at 30 and do ur damage. Then the other team gets a shot :o

Posted by: Triple Threat

The 30 is too close. They're already within field goal range. Start at mid-field instead.

Posted by: Prince

I say again, how about them Broncos mother fuckers!!!!!!!!!

6 an 0

Good game! JM is doing way better than expected!

how bout dem broncos

Worst case scenario is the Broncos finish 8-8. Any realistic Broncos fan couldn't expect much more than that when the season started.

Finishing 2-8 in the final 10 games though still sucks.

if we can't beat Kansas City (again) on our own turf this time, then we really suck.

however, I expected nothing from the Broncos this year, and overall they did pretty good, even yesterday's game they came back in the 3 and 4 quarters and brought it down to a field goal in the last minute. basically the broncos are a whole new team from the coaches to players and they are in a re-building process, give them another 2 years.

I wish I could share your enthusiasm. different team/players/coaches with the same results (hot start/great defense followed by piss poor play and terrible finish) leads me to believe that this change isn't really much of a change.

Instead of the Bears ending the season 6-10, after tonight's win they'll likely end up at 7-9.

Potential top ten pick goes to a top 15.

Interesting.

Good fuck the bears and fuck the vickings

fuckety fuck fuck the broncos. good job pat bowlen in destroying your team. mcdaniels finished the season 2-8 which is a worse collapse than we have ever seen from the broncos. not only that, but he can't keep his players happy and there is going to be an exodus. further screwing us as we get nothing in return. cutler will be back in the pro-bowl in the coming seasons and kyle orton will soon be out of the league.

Bite your tongue Packer fan...

The Bears fell apart this year, and to be honest that's what I expected. Cutler is a great acquisition, but with no protection, no real receivers, and pretty horrible coaching he can't really produce too much.

Then you have the other side of the ball... the almost nonexistent defense... but I digress.

Overall, I think the Broncos did pretty well this year...

Cutler won't make the pro bowl in the next 100 years.

baring injury cutler will have many pro bowl years ahead. look at at the other qb's in the nfc right now aaron rodgers, tony romo, drew brees, eli manning, donovan mcnabb, matt ryan, alex smith, matt stafford

you are telling me against that list cutler can't crack the top 3 performers for a season? you must be out of your mind to think that.

Posted by: tucker01

not on that team.

Oh and Aaron Rodgers rules lol.

Posted by: bio-chem

aaron rodgers deserves all the accolades he gets this season, but im not convinced he is a perennial pro bowler

Posted by: bio-chem

Denver Broncos, D-coordinator Nolan 'mutually' part ways - NFL - SI.com

yet another example of the idiocy of mcdaniels. when brandon marshal, tony shefler, the last of the coaches holding the broncos running game together all leave including the coach who turned around the defense. mcdaniels will be fired after next season
