Ok so I had a well respected doctor tell me that Tilapia has one of the worse fat profiles as far as fish goes, etc, blah blah. I know this issue has been brought up before but I wanted to see what some of you well-read folks think. I personally don't like the taste all that well so I don't eat alot. Anyways...entertain me.

I think its a good fish, but very delicate. I love seafood.
Lemon garlic tilapia is yummy.
Also, tilapia is a decent fish to use for fish tacos.

Usually the cold water fish provide a better fat profile. ie. Salmon, sardines.
Most tilapia you see are farm raised and like anything that is farm raised, don't have a good n6:n3 ratio. Tilapia isn't something I would eat for the n3. It is something I eat cause I enjoy.

I love talapia and eat it twice a week usually for the fat content. I thought it was a source of healthy fat. Tuna doesn't really have much fat in it, at least not the kind I eat in a can.

I agree with all of these statements.
Although, food scientists do work on trying to improve the n6:n3 profile. take a look.
