What do you primarily stick to when aiming to build muscle?

Depends on the intensity, but I'd say my average is 1.5-2 mins.

I'm around 2mins. When I'm doing squats I tend to take a little more time but thats because I hate squats.

Same here when I'm solo. With my training partner it's a bit longer.

30-90 seconds usually. Some sets i need a little more time, others i can change the plates at go at it again.

When I lifted heavy and to failure it was about 3 min. Now I never go over 90 seconds between sets, typically I superset so at most 30 seconds of rest between most of my sets.

It depends what I am going, it ranges a lot.
However, I can't remember the last time I'd rest more than 3 minutes. That would be for very high intensity strength lifts.

I say get it while the gettin's good. 30 seconds is the target, or I allow a little longer if I feel severely depleted....with the exception of leg day, during which it takes a minute or two to un-cramp, lol. Now, as for those posers in the gym that take an hour to do three sets......breathe and move, brother!
