Gagging and coughing when i work out

I've recently developed this very weird thing when I work out that I gag and cough. I don't know what it is, I think its just mental really but everytime i've worked out now for almost a couple of months I start coughing and gagging. some exercises make it worse than others like sit ups or lying on my stomach like on t-bar. I google'd it and closest thing i found was possibly some kind of bacteria that when manifested causing your gag reflex to go off. Dont think thats it though.

Anyone else had this, it's not due to being tired. It started only when I played basketball for awhile and now its all forms of physical activity. I laid off for about a month but it's still there. WTF

Do you have allergies? Has this been going on forever? Or just recently? Its been a really bad pollen season this year...

Are you taking any stims -- clen or an EC stack?

Full credit to anyone who tried to answer this question seriously, your a better person then me! You dont need an internet forum mate, go see your doctor, theres clearly a problem there.

well I dont have health insurance and can't afford to see a doctor. didn't know if anyone else had the same problem or heard of it. Haven't had it ever until the past couple of months. No, no stims or supplements that I haven't already been on for years.
Its just getting hard to work out and embarrasing on top of that. I'm on the slant board coughing and choking and ppl are looking at me like im a weirdo.

and no, no S and M while I work out. not my style

I apologise then mate, we have something called the national health service over here where everyone no matter who you are has the right to go the hospital or see the doctor whenever you want free of charge, didnt realise you werent the same. That would change it some what, does it only happen when your in the gym or during your normal daily routine. If it only happens in the gym, who knows could be a reaction to a cleaning product they are using there etc, i dont buy the in the mind thing, your body is reacting to something. Might mean buying a home gym or trying a different one.

Reduced airway due to swollen throat or internal swelling can cause this. You wouldn't notice this during your down time but when your body is gasping for air during workouts it can become a problem.

If its just recently, honestly I'd start looking at allergies first. It is spring time and the allergy season has been brutal.

You might start by just using a sinus medication to see if that will reduce phlegm/mucus and any inflammation. If you have ephedrine that could be an option to check out.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you should see a physician bro. That does not sound good.
