If you are a positive, open minded person or especially if you just happen to be black Anabolic Society is a place that should be avoided. Rampant racism and hate is the MAJOR theme there. I personally feel it's the worst board I ever seen in my life in those reguards ( and I've seen some crazy ones). I speak from experience. Consider yourself warned

Anabolic Society popped up when RXMuscle decommissioned its "The Pit" forum. This was a forum within the board with no holds barred. This was originally a part of MuscularDevleopment.com (where it still exists), and the RX board owners decided it was more negative than was worth including in the RX forum itself.

Having been active on many boards for over a decade now, 'open forums' promote a lot of board traffic, but there is a point where the 'freedom of speech' the internet affords, becomes more negative than the forum proper may care to support. As a moderator on RX, I can say that the mods on RX spent a lot of time managing that forum and the negativity it sometimes promoted. When that forum was decommissioned, many of the members active on that board moved the traffic to AnabolicSociety.com.

I'm not saying this is completely negative - the freedom of the internet does allow for some very inspired and thought-provoking exchanges, but also within that is the lowest common demoninator of idiocy that comes w/ that freedom.

Anyway.. just giving you some of the background behind AnabolicSociety. Some of the people there are some of the people i have a lot of respect for, but with the freedom for intelligent exchange, also comes the more base stuff of the interwebs. Basically not for the weak of constitution. Personally I've been online long enough that I don't have time for the BS that many others find entertaining, so I don't get much involved in it. The novelty passed away some time around 2001 for me.

Look, lets not start feuding between boards. I happen to be a mod here and on AS.

You'll find on all forums people you do not like. Yes, AS has a few who instead of answering with contributing posts, just make negative comments, so does IM.

There are some great people on both forums, and some not so great on both forums. If you do not like a certain board, simply do not participate. Stick to where you are comfortable.
