Too young for supplements?

So I'm 14 years old, and I've been trying to bulk up recently, so I bought some Superpump 250 to use before my workouts. I used it today for the first time and when I went to the gym I really loved the pump it gave me, and I think I got a really good workout. But my friend told me not to take any supplements because he says it's bad for me in the future and it'll kill my liver.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Supplements should not kill your liver but I would also not recommend them at your age. You will achieve remarkable gains by training properly, resting and most importantly eating well. I'd wait till you hit your late teens to mess around with supplements to give you the extra kick.

So say not until I'm 17, or 18? I'll stick with healthy food until then, thanks.

Food is the most anabolic substance on earth.Without enough of it nothing else works.

I checked the ingredients and it looks like it's actually quite good for your liver as long as you drink plenty of water with it.

According to me you can take protein powder as a supplement but you have to take visit of any fitness trainer before take it....

Best thing I'd recommend right now as a wrestler, and i have 3 clients who are professional MMA fighters that specialize in wrestling, is protein powder and food. Drink a lot of milk also. Supplements really arent needed as said above, but be sure you're doing compound exercises that will increase your strength on the mat and your overall health. Cardio might be an option also, if you arent in season.

Thanks a bunch. And no I'm not in season, so I will be doing a bit more cardio. I haven't really been on the mat in a good 3 months.

There's your answer. Plus, your natural test levels are starting to go through the roof. Just eat smart and often, work hard in the gym and you'll get results.

yea bud you are still doing the maturing thing your testosterons should be more than enough supplement

Posted by: kpwrestler4

Alright, so I quit taking my superpump and I'm sticking to a healthy diet, but do you think I can make muscle milk shakes to "fill in the gaps" when I'm in a rush or something?

Posted by: jmorrison

You sure can bud. Nothing wrong with throwing in some whey protein. I wouldnt even really count it as a "supplement" since it is really just a food.

It wont take the place of real whole foods, but it wont hurt you to toss one in daily either to help you pick up the slack. I prefer to drink mine while I am lifting or directly after.
