1. Read the stickies on this forum on diet and suggested workouts..
2. Create a decent routine consisting of compund moves, bench press, deadlifts, squats etc
3. Stop reading or googling for other tips as you feel you've missed out on the "quick way" to bulk or gain - NEWS FLASH there isn't a quick way.
4. Get into the gym (in my case I left the gym and bought basic weights to perform the moves in number 2) and workout hard but for under 60 mins.
5. Track your calories and progress using fitday/excel/notepad etc
All of the above is the reason i've not posted on here for a while. I had to switch off to information overload. The most valuable information for me though did come from some of the members on this forum. i.e eat big, lift big, get big.
I'm still no where near where I want to be but i'm making progress. I was 154lb i'm now 168 its taken just under a year. Around a 1lb a month, yes there maybe room for improvement but I wont get it by continually buying health magazines or books written by former body builders.
Hope this is usefiul to someone, i'm by no means having a pop or dissing anyone, I just want to help anyone in the same boat as me a while ago -overdosed in information!!!

good point. bulking is quite simple- but no one said its easy. different things work for different people and you gotta know what you take in so i agree with all of your points
