Ironmaiden Figure Comp December 7th

I could sure use the support of anyone else doing this contest. It will be my first. My partner backed out on me, and I am really disappointed. I have 10 weeks, and I have not progressed any from 3 weeks ago. So it is time to get over my disappointment and move on with this.

The show is in Culver City, CA, around LA. I live in the Bay Area, but figured there would be more shows to choose from in the LA area. That is where my partner lives

It makes it more of a commitment for me that it is out of town, but I imagine most of the peeps entering will be from that area.

Wow, that is a National Qualifier! Is this your first comp?

BTW- I tried to order the shoes from flirt- and they are outta stock LOL I had to order a similiar pair else where- I did go for the 6 incher though

The Las Vegas show is the only qualifier, not this one! Yup, it's my first show. Yeah, the shoes were on backorder when I got em too.

You'll look awesome in those shoes!

And I am soooo not ready-I am not as lean as I was in my pic! Time to get my nose back to the grindstone. I really like being very lean!

AH, don't worry I am not as lean as I'd like to be and my show is in 4weeks! I have heard, if done right, DRAMATIC changes occur during the last two weeks! You will be fine , don't give up!

don't panic - you have time. i think i'm going to attend that show! i live about 90 miles from there but it's been ages since i've gone to a show. i'll be cheering you on for sure!

12%~set a realistic goal from now until your contest date and a plan of action to achieve that goal. Be tenacious about it.

Then on contest day, in your mind, if you know you honestly did everything within your power to reach that goal, you've already won. Even, if you miss your target a little, maybe you need to tweak your plan a bit for next time.

The important thing is that you get through this first time and learn from it. That's what it's all about--not winning a trophy. It's about setting a goal and reaching that goal. That's the real prize.

So go get 'em girl! Good luck!

Thanks Lorraine-I wholeheartedly agree! I am hoping to make some new like minded fitness friends in the process too. To the average American, we are just freaks right? (to borrow a term from a friend. ) But who wants to be average?

And yep, getting up there, and not giving up and seeing it through is the win for me.

If I like it, maybe I'll enter another comp close to home next time, since my NPC card will be good through 2003!

But that nervous anticipation and everything that goes with it, is leverage to help me reach my goals.

The real goal for me is to stay lean! And become a better person in the process!

Plus, I am an adrenaline junky, so getting up on stage should be fun, if I can get over bein' freakin' scared Positive talk, positive talk.

Just imagine the judges all sitting there naked. That'll either get you smiling so big you'll blind the audience with your pearly whites or get you laughing so hard, it will force you to tighten your abs.
