Yesterday, while browsing around in the health store, I found great supplement of flaxseed/borage/sunflower oil EFA in the form of capsules, now it said per capsules Cal 15 F2, but twice the amount of Omega 3, 6, 9...will the capsule be a better choice over the oil, that will reduce the calories from fat too...any opinions???

Fat content should be approximately the same, but taking the oil is way cheaper. It's also much more convenient since you'll have to take like 25 capsules a day.

Thanks..that makes sense...sticking the oil than...

FF, I am from Toronto, do you ever come down here

Posted by: Fit Freak

Yeah...surprisongly I lived there a year and a half ago...I worked for the accounting firm, Ernst & Young. I transferred to the downtown office for a change but only stayed about 7 months...didn't know many people, found it hard to meet people there. I have a couple friends there now...I'm actually coming up sometime before XSmas...if things go as planned.

When I was living there I trained at Bally's on Bay/Boor and lived on Prince Arthur near the George Street Station. Coming from Nova Scotia it was a huge change for me but I can say one thing...the club scene is sooo much better than around here!!!!

To reduce the calories from fat, use less - since it is a fat that you would be taking, it doesn't make much sense

When you eat chicken breast and protein powder and other lean foods all day, thats pretty much all the fat I take in now, olive or flax.

How much fat would you say I should be taking if my carbs are 50-80, P174...to eat enough calories I am having F74-80 it seems quite alot for me...but if I go less than I will be eating very little calories...what do you think??

FF, I trained at Bally's for 2 years at Bay/Bloor, I was working for Four Seasons Hotel full-time than and doing personal training part-time...Four Season is across from Prince Arthur..I dealt with few clients than from Ernst & Young...small world...I don't live far away from there now...
so how long will you be visiting Toronto...are you visiting family???

Posted by: Fit Freak

Coming up for Aircrew Selection....last step before being accepted to the military as a pilot....also planning to visit a couple close friends.

That's so weird....I would have been at that Bally's from September of 2000 until Marh of 2001.

As for the Four Season's I dated a girl that worked the desk at their fitness center...we only went out a couple times...so sadly enough I can't even remember her name but I'm sure you would know of her.

Where are you training now? There are so many nice gyms in TO....definately something I miss! I actually lived at 95 Prince Arthur....corner of Huron and Prince Arthur...a condo right on the corner....are you close to there? I liked the area but honestly being from the East Coast I have to say I missed seeing grass, trees, that sort of thing!

I live near the annex, couple of big blocks west of Bloor/St.George, nowadays I am training at a gym I teach Yoga at EPIC...its near Bay/Bloor...I train there sometimes too (my own clients)...Why did you move back? are you orginally from Nova Scotia?? I am a beach person...lived in Europe before moving to Toronto 4 years ago...having been dealing with bad weather since a while now..lol...

Posted by: Fit Freak

I moved home to go back to school and get away from the accounting profession...I have to say I found it pretty boring. Sometimes I wish I was back in TO though...lots to do and so many epole to meet. I'm originally from NS...went to university in Halifax, but now I'm back in my hometown managing our local fitness center, personal training and doing some nutrition & wellness consulting.

You must miss the beach...I know that was one of the things I missed when I was there....no worries now though since I live less than 3 miles from a large beach.

Europe...wow...I'm hoping to travel there this summer...where are you from?

Posted by: QueenofSquats

My parents were from India (not alive anymore), although I have never been there, I studied in U.K, and travelled around Europe/Fareast/Middleeast and Australia when I was a student..I love to travel and explore different cultures...its amazing I have stick around Toronto since 4 years, from time to time have a urge to move again...gypsy in my soul...

Posted by: Fit Freak

Sorry about your parents....you must be so cultured

I have to agree about getting the urge to move...staying in one spot too long gets boring...I'm definately on the move within the next 6 months to a year.....where..???

Posted by: QueenofSquats

Have you been to Australia, Sydney...its awesome...beautiful beaches...friendly/fit people...great weather all year round...I sound like a travel agent..lol..do you have a destination in mind...how are the people in Nova Scotia..as reserve as Torontonians??

Posted by: Fit Freak

Pepople here in NS and so friendly....much different than TO. I just remember getting groceries in TO and waiting in line...no one talks...here quite the opposite

I talk and joke with everyone...a lot of us out this way are like that lol

I've never been to Australia but would love to go...I've thought about it lately since I have enough Aeroplan points to go there.....it's either there or Europe...who knows

Posted by: QueenofSquats

FF, whats your zodiac sign? I am an Aquarian..travelling is in my stars..lol...

Posted by: QueenofSquats

I agree..people in Toronto are a bit stiff...but hey, I live by my own rules..I am extra friendly with those kind of people and once I throw that energy towards them..they definitely open up...
But I miss and love European lifestyle...living life with such passion and not defining one by what they do, but by who they are

Posted by: Fit Freak

WOW.....couldn't agree with you more....there's a person inside of all and no one should be judged by what they do...who they are...or where they're from

This is getting pretty deep.... Just Kidding

By the way...I'm a LEO....and it fits me pretty well....lol

Posted by: QueenofSquats

Leo...last guy I dated was leo...fire quite passionate...but hey everyone is different right..what do you think are your similar qualities to other fellow lions...

Posted by: Fit Freak

Definately...passionate, my ambition, openness, and stron-will..........I have to say I disagree with many of Leo's negative qualities though................not all Leo's are self-centered, arrogant, and high on themselves as some would have you think
