Hello out there, we're on the air, it's hockey night (WEDNESDAY NIGHT) tonight,
The whistle blows & the tension grows and the puck goes down the ice,
The goalie jumps and the players bump & the fans all go insane,
Someone roars, "Bobby scores!", at the good old hockey game.

Oh the good old hockey game is the best game you can name,
And the best name you can name, is the good old hockey game.

2nd Period!

Where players dance with skates that flash, the home team trails behind,
But they grab the puck & go bursting up & they're down across the line,
They storm the crease like bumble bees, they travel like a burning flame,
We see them slide the puck inside, it's a one-one hockey game.

3rd Period! Last game of the playoffs too!

Oh take me where, those hockey players face off down the rink,
And the Stanley cup is all filled up for the champs who win the drink,
Now the final flick of a hockey stick and one gigantic scream,

I remember going to Whaler games, and during the intermission, they'd have the pee-wee kids playing. They'd be playing that song over the P.A. system.

I can't wait to see some hockey tonight. I am upsest that I am going to miss the Flyers tomorrow night because I have a game.

I will admit, from what I saw Toronto looked really good but its only game one.

I thought the Flyers looked pretty good until ther 3rd period when they gave up the 2 goal lead. (yes I am a HUGE Flyers fan)

We don't have much ice hockey in Texas...ice melts to quick LMAO...j/k but really don't have ice hockey here much other than the Dallas team. The area of Texas I am in doesn't get into hockey unfortunately. I am out of the ordinary here being that I am a hockey fan. I wish I could get to see a real NHL game sometime. I will get to eventually.

San Antonio is about an hour away and they had one team, the Iguanas, but the Spurs kicked them out (wouldn't renew their lease) and now we have a new team. I can't remember their name...its another reptile, I think. I am waiting to hear more about them so I can go check 'um out.

I don't know where I got that it was another "reptile" sounding team. I thought it was the raptors or something...who knows. I was pissed when the Spurs booted the Iguanas. I liked them and enjoyed quite a few of their games.

I went to the Rampage web site and I must say they are sinking a lot of money and hope into them. The Iggy's weren't...well hockey wasn't as BIG as some would have hoped here, so the team never did fill the Henry B Gonzales Convention Center which wasn't very big. The Iggy's were here a while back and then left and so we got the SA Dragons...I never got to see them. They were here only a season or two. Then the Iggy's came back and they seemed to have a good reception, but it didn't last.

I hope the Rampage do well. I want them to stick around.

I am really excited about this thread. I love hockey and I would like to learn more about it. I have only been following it about a year and 1/2 or 2 years...I am just a baby.
