I don't agree with this penalty though. It was obviously not intentional, the receiver jumped up to get the ball and Kennedy just drilled into him meaning to hit him in the chest, not the head.

The problem is that he's done it THREE times already this year in just 6 games. He's developed a reputation and now is suffering the consequences.

Last time I looked signing one's name on a football did not threaten bodily harm to another player. The two incidents are not similar.

The football signing should be classified as "taunting" and punishment, if any, should be administered accordingly.

I understand that the rules are there to protect the players, and I also understand that Kennedy had 2 previous incidents. However that particular incident was unintentional and it was obvious to everyone that saw the replays.

To punish him this way just because he has a history and they need to make a statement is wrong. Only punish a player if what he did was intentional, this particluar case was accidental and should be treated as such.
