Calf Stretches....CALFS HURT BAD!!

What are some good stretches you guys know of to do before and after working out the calf muscles. My problem is this, I always try to avoid them on leg day due to they are really weak, and when I work them out, I become EXTREMELY sore for the next 5 days, sore enough that I look like I walk funny, and it is very hard to walk. I know they are supposed to be sore, and after working them out, they wont be so sore, but I have dont this a few times, and it's not getting any easier. And I really want big calf muscles. Thanks!!!

Hmm, do you get cramps too? If you do, you might wanna try some MSM.
Anyway, as you said, they are supposed to be sore, but you might make it less painful by stretching after your workout

I understand I need to stretch them after I workout, the only stretch I know of is the one where you put your foot up against the wall and lean forward, dont know the term or name for it, but was wondering if anyone knows of any other types of stretches to do after and or before I workout.

Ok, if your skipping them and not working them for say two or three weeks, then thats probably your problem.
I would try to work them more regularly, you can ever hit them twice a week to get them up to par as they recover quickly.

Thanks, I will start working them out twice a week now, and see how things go!!!
