The Cdn. Hockey Women whupped the US Hockey Women in the Four Nations Cup (of which I am a proud owner of Gold Medal game tickets!) 7-0 in the opening game (and the first meeting since the Olympic Gold Medal game).
Any other Cdns going to the Gold Medal game? It's in Kitchener Ontario.
And to top things off, our Cdn. Soccer Women may be going to the World Cup if they beat Mexico in the Gold Cup!

Dero, the whole tourney is in Kitchener, and it's on right now. The Gold Medal game, most likely featuring Canada vs. somebody (USA?) is on Sunday. Tickets are $25 a pop.
Albob, the rivalry between the USA and Canada has opened up a whole can of worms about body contact. Apparently, the referees are encouraged to allow the girls to play hard and most of the girls on these teams appreciate the freedom. I'm stating this matter-of-factly because I have no sour grapes and am laughing in your general direction as the Cdn women show their supremacy over your piddly American teams!

I just don't like women's hockey even if the American team could beat the Canadian's it would still be women playing hockey.

Two years ago we had a tourny here in Ottawa,saw most of the girls team,yes the National ones,found it to be a very fast game,less cluch and grabb!
Another thing is,it all depends what kind of hockey you enjoy,when watching a game!

Woohoo! Canada has a birth in the Gold Medal game already!
AND, the Womens soccer team have also made it to the World Cup! They go for the Gold Cup on Saturday! Go Girls!
Canada may also get FIFA funding in short order! What a year this has been in Canadian Sporting!

All I have to say is, what a Hella game! I've never experienced a more exciting finish, or a more exciting crowd in my life! It's one thing to watch it on TV (I can understand why some people find it boring), but to see it live, it's just phenomenal.
Both Americans and Canada played great, but of course, we came out on top. (And there are a number of those girls who I would let come out on top of me. )
I'll be looking forward to more Womens hockey, and seeing if I can track down some league games.
