Training for fire fighter physical exam

I'm currently doing 3 sessions of full body workouts a week. My exam is coming up in may and I'll be training separately for this outside my normal workout. I need to focus on my cardio and leg endurance. Also, I will be running the course everyday which really is a workout on it's own. Should I skip all leg work on regular workouts? I've been running the track, sprinting and running up and down stairs for the past couple days and my legs are getting killed. Don't want to over do it. Or should I focus only on training for the exam and resume regular training afterwards?thanks.

That exam isnt that tough if you are in fairly decent shape. I wouldn't run the course everyday, just stick to lifting 3-4 days a week and doing plenty of HIIT for cardio and you will be fine. I am a career firefighter and have taken many of those tests. I have seen some out of shape fat f*cks pass them. Must be adrenaline...

The only thing I would recommend is to not run it every day of the week. You're pushing yourself hard, have at least 2-3 days of rest a week for recovery purposes. If you're training legs, have at least a day off afterwards before you do anything intense with your legs (sprinting, carrying, etc.) You're gonna ace the physical, don't stress over it that much and risk injury.
