In for the and the !
Preseason Top 5
1. LSU - Loaded with talent, fierce defense, and a new OC
2. Oklahoma - If they get past FSU, there's a cakewalk Big-12 schedule and a less-than-stellar Longhorn foe
3. Bama - Defense and run game should be wicked good, but questions at QB
4. Florida State - Could be a big surprise this season
5. Arkansas - Expectations aren't as high as last year, and the new QB will light it up this year. Can they get it done on defense?
...62. Auburn
Yeah... I'm not biased toward the nation's premiere football conference or anything. Notre Dame looks poised to do some damage, as well as Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.

I have to put LSU about 5. I know they have talent, but something tells me that a helium headed coach will screw them out of the #1 spot. Also the O looks like a solid first test for the HeauxMeauxs, and we all have seen how they play on openers. So here's mine.
And of course I have to put into play my homerism too. I believe good 'ol ND should end up around #10 when its all said and done. I'd like to see 8 so we can get a BCS and stomp an SEC team. (Besides Tennessee). Like Kelly said, until we knock down a great SEC opponent, we can't get the respect we would like. And no, thats not easy to say. But its the truth as far as the last decade is concerned.

South Carolina will be the dark horse IMO this year.

Well, the sweater vest is done! Too bad for the Bucks!

Yeah, it was only a question of when. Best for them to wait and see what the sanctions will be like before they try to land another big-name coach. Someone like Urban isn't interested in being in the same boat as Kiffin at USC.
Sorry, BUCK. In the long run it may turn out to be a positive though. OSU was starting to get a "Thug U" reputation in the Big Ten, and clearly Tressel didn't have the control over the program everyone thought he had.
Ive been on a hiatus but now Im back. Let the trash talk begin! Ive actually missed it all this time.
oh, and I hope the ducks stomp LSUs title hopes in week 1.
