Lidstrom, with 77,260 votes, leads all Western Conference votegetters in the 2003 Circuit City/NHL All-Star Fan Balloting presented by 989 Sportsa. The voting will determine the starting lineups for the 2003 NHL All-Star Game presented by Nextel, Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003 in Sunrise, Fla., (2:30 p.m. ET, ABC, CBC, RDS). This year's NHL All-Star Game returns to an Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference format after five years of North America vs. the World. Besides Lidstrom, there's good chance that you'll see at least one other member of the Red Wings participate in this season's NHL All-Star Game. Seven different Red Wings appear on the ballot. Only the Philadelphia Flyers match the Red Wings with that many nominees. Brett Hull and Brendan Shanahan are nominated among Western Conference wingers, Steve Yzerman and Sergei Fedorov among centers, Nicklas Lidstrom and Chris Chelios among defensemen and Curtis Joseph among goaltenders. Between the seven players, they've participated in 49 All-Star Games. Chelios leads the way with 11 appearances, followed by Yzerman (10), Hull (8), Shanahan (7), Lidstrom (6), Fedorov (5) and Joseph (2). Since 1988, the Red Wings have had at least one member participate in the All-Star Game. 1988: Yzerman, Bob Probert 1989: Yzerman 1990: Yzerman 1991: Yzerman 1992: Yzerman, Fedorov, Tim Cheveldae 1993: Yzerman, Paul Coffey, Steve Chiasson 1994: Fedorov, Coffey 1996: Fedorov, Lidstrom, Coffey, Chris Osgood 1997: Yzerman, Shanahan, Osgood, Viacheslav Fetisov 1998: Lidstrom, Shanahan, Fetisov, Igor Larionov 1999: Yzerman, Lidstrom, Shanahan 2000: Yzerman, Lidstrom, Chelios 2001: Lidstrom, Fedorov 2002: Lidstrom, Shanahan, Fedorov, Chelios, Dominik Hasek *Note: There was no All-Star Game in 1995 due to a labor disruption. |

Originally posted by ALBOB I'm more concerned about tomorrow against the Leafs so I can rub it into some a-holes around here. You watched the game last night? You got a satelite with NHL Center Ice? I want that SOOOOOO bad. Already got the NFL package for the Eagles now I just have to convince the money manager (wife) to come off another $150.

| Originally posted by seyone even without the NFL package you can probably see most of the Birds games as they are nationally televised. |
