OK boys and girls, I've made it into the play-offs in my fantasy football league and this coming weekend is the first round of SINGLE eliminations. You lose and you're GONE!!! There's money riding on this so I can't blow it. I'm desperate to get opinions on which of my QB's to start; Daunte Culpepper or Tommy Maddox.

Culpepper:
Gets good offensive numbers-------------------------------Plus
Responsible for a LOT of turnovers and sacks-----------Minus
Playing for a team that's out of the play-off hunt-------Minus
Going against New Orlean Saints who are in the
play-off hunt but have had a lousy Defense lately------Unknown

Maddox:
Great offensive numbers to start----------------------------Plus
Playing for a team that's in the play-off hunt--------------Plus
Responsible for a LOT of turnovers lately------------------Minus
Going against Carolina Panthers who are PROBABLY
out of the pay-off hunt but have a great Defense--------Unknown

Any opinions??? PLEASE

Ahhh, the scientific approach. I think I'm having the same feeling. Looks like Maddox is gonna be on a VERY short leash, the first time he turns it over he's gonna get yanked and then he'll do me NO good.

OK, next question, The Bus at less than 100% or Tiki Barber against the Dallas Defense?

Maddox I say!

Well you know the Dallas Defence ain't shit.......

I'd have to go with Culpepper. He runs the top offense in the league, plus he's got better receivers to throw to. Tommy Maddux is fragile and is one hit away from the injured list. Culpepper is a horse.

What league are you watching? They're #1 in the entire NFC against the run.

I'm leaning the same way as you IAB. With Maddox's health AND last weeks performance I think he's gonna get yanked the first time he even blinks wrong. At least I'm pretty sure Culpepper will be in the entire game. (Of course if he spends that time throwing interceptions and fumbling I'm gonna shit bricks. )

Yeah right Kuso. Advice from someone who's idea of football is not being smart enough to wear pads? Thanks but NO thanks.

That's right Kuso, NO ONE ever accused you of being smart. Maybe smart ass, but not smart.

I would go with Maddox, even if he throws an interception, when he was starting before, they won, before him, they weren't. Culpeper is good, but with the way the vikings have been playing, do you really want to start him? I have maddox on my team, and I'm in 2nd out of 8, when he plays, he is awesome, last week was his first week back from being knocked to the point of being paralyzed, but he has recovered, and he got his stuff together, I would play maddox if I were you..

I hope you picked Maddox and Bettis...because the bus was running really well yesterday...2 TD's, even though he only had about 80 yards.

Maddox actually lasted the game too, which surprised me.

Culpepper: 26/36, 312 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT. Also, 7 carries for 73 yards with 2 TD's.

Maddox: 20/33, 209 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.

Well, hope you didn't go with maddox...

I went with Maddox and Barber and got knocked out of the first round. My opponenet won because of ONE player, he has Clinton Portis. He beat me by less than 10 points.
