The past week I have been having this very strange feeling throughout the day. I feel like there are aftershocks of an earthquake going on, like my body is throbbing. I did a test to see if it wasn't just me, set out a glass of water and checked to see if it ripped when I felt the tremors.. no ripples. So, whatever it is, its me. I went searching for tremors, but they only come up with parkinsons stuff, thats not what I am feeling.
If anyone has an idea what it could be, any insight would be nice. At first I dismissed it, but after over a week of it happening every day, its starting to worry me.

I think you should probably go to the doctor to get it checked out. I've been thinking about it since I saw the post yesterday, but w/o more information, am at a loss. Concerned for you - I wouldn't just ignore it, for sure. Take care of yourself.

What more information were you missing? I did some more searches and the symptoms can be a result of a range of things. Stress, thyroid, etc. I really dislike visiting doctors, always seems to be a medication that they push on you. I probably haven't been to see one in 3-4 years now.
I will try and answer any questions the best I can.

switch to decaf coffee

I dislike doctors too....I understand, but without baseline labs/vital signs, a physical assessment to corrolate with the symptoms you are describing this is a difficult medium with which to communicate. You describe your own research results as not quite the results that describe how you are feeling....I responded so that you knew I for one, am concerned about your symptoms........wish I could be more helpful...
One think to remember - you may need to see the doc to GET the information you need, but if you educate and arm yourself YOU can determine how to be treated by taking an active role......

are you on any supliments?theres also many types of gear that can cause simular symptoms.diet pills also can cause those trimmers.

I have one cup of coffee a day, and its instant, which has about half the amount of caffeine of a regular cup. Those arent the sort of jitters I am getting. I feel like my body is swaying or throbbing.. not any specific part, just my body as a whole.
I am also not on any supplements or pills of any kind. I have two protein shakes a day, whey.
The only change I can see of what I made in the past couple weeks is possibly a drawback from carbs. I have been very rabbit-like, taking advantage of the seasons first crops.

Are you eating enough? I get very lightheaded and almost pass out if i restrict calories too much. Could that be what you feel as swaying?
Posted by: Muscle_Girl
No, I know what you mean, I have done that to myself a few times. Pretty sure I have been over my maintenance calories too. Maybe I will try a carb up tomorrow, see if that does anything.

keep us up 2 date on how you are feeling, because it could be serious.

Swaying could be something to do with the equilibrium which is in your ears.
Any ear pain? They sell an earwax removal drops kit at the drug stores.. you may have some pressure deep inside (I'm sure you clean your ears, but sometimes wax/dirt can still accumulate well deeper than you can see, or clean.)
Hate doctors or not, if these odd symptoms are still going on longer than a week you should go see one. If it is something serious you want as much advanced notice as possible for the best outcome in the end.
Don't mess around. If you literally watched a glass of water to see if the tremors were real, thats nothing to mess around with.

It seems like it has gone away. Now I am thinking I was just too paranoid in when I shifted in my chair or bed and the vibrations from the shift simply made it feel like it was strange. I am probably lacking something which has made it seem a lot more than it was, as LW said, perhaps light headed, just not severe.
I click my mouse button and my forearm muscles move, which then moves the chair. I think because I have gained a good amount of muscle, its just unfamiliar.
Anyway, case closed, for now.

Stress?
Also could be heart problems. You should get it checked out.

You could be suffering from heart problem as mentioned such
as arrhythmia or other things like restless leg syndrome, or akathisia.
Are you referring to a physiologic tremor? As you can see it can
have numerous causes.
Sounds like its appearance could be intermittent, which would
make a diagnosis very difficult.
If you think it is related to your diet, I would make sure that you
are up on your nutritional knowledge and be cautious of doing
strange things and eating bad thing.
I would definately suggest seeing a doctor to be on the safe side.
If you haven't already have your yearly physical, this would be
a good time to do that.
You certainly don't want this getting worse.

I suspect inner ear problem causing this "imbalance" making you feel the world is shaking around you
do you have any problem in your ears ?
consult an otologist
