Originally posted by firestorm Ok after seeing another message board this brought up a good point. Personnally, I don't think bodybuilding mags like FLEX and MuslceMag should waist pages on chicks half naked posing in bras and nighties. I mean they are bodybuilding mags.. I say if you want that stuff go buy a PLayboy. Hey I love a half naked gal just as much as the next guy but I don't blow $6.00 an issue for a bodybuilding mag to see that sheeit. Once a year like Sport Illustrated does is ok but every month? I'd rather see the female bodybuilders shown in the same light as the their male counterparts including articles written by them on training, nutrition etc. Those mags should be promoting the topic that their magazine names So boldly are named. FLEX MUSCLEmag MuscleMedia Ironman. I see those names I think of monsters and monster workouts. Not some plastic tittied bot chick that could not walk on a bodybuilding stage. Well thats my opinion. I say keep the bimbos and give me the muscle. Muscle & Fitness is by my opinion the best mag out there. |

After wasting a lot of money on magazines that basically told me to go the gym and take a certain product I decided to skip out on the mags.
.........er.....okay

Originally posted by I Are Baboon I'd prefer to see women in their workout element....wearing the workout clothes and pumping iron. I read fitness mags to keep myself motivated, not to look at skinny girls in thongs. But the reality is that those kinds of pictures sell the magazines to men. Cripes, Mountain Bike magazine recently featured Playboy models posing in front of bikes and stuff. So it's not just bodybuilding mags that do this. |
