Jaromir Jagre to Philly for Simone Gagne.

Hmmmmm.............Jagre, Primeau, Leclair, Recchi and Roenick? Move over children the BIG boys are in town.

Yeah, and then when the playoffs start, the offense accidentally starts vacation two months early.

I wish the Flyers would trade Primeau, Leclair, Recchi and keep Gagne even though he is struggling.

How true.........

Doesn't matter how you count them, they're still two checks in the win columns.

(I was VERY disappointed in the showing of the Eagles but, they won't have two bad games in a row. Besides, they OWN Tampa Bay. )

There is always a first. And neither team is the same as last year.

Get ready.

Posted by: ALBOB

Oh don't worry, I'm ready...........................for another victory party.

go ahead and make your predictions for next week in the thread that's already started.

Jaromir Jagr: 11 points in his last two games. That's not too shabby.

#1 I think the Jammer Jagger rumor is pretty much dead, he wouldn't fit in at all in Philly. You're right, Hitchcock is WAY too defensive minded for a Jagr type player to prosper.

#2 Philly needs new blood? Hmmm........I'm gonna hold off agreeing with you until the end of the season. They're starting to really understand Hitchcock's system and do well with it. (Not counting the power play.) No matter how the season ends up I do think it's time to start bringing on a few more of the younger players. As much as I adore Leclaire, Desjardain, Primeau, Recchi and Roenick non of them are Spring Chickens anymore. If I had to bet I'd say Clarke already has feelers out to see who/what he can get for them.

Posted by: IPMC

I have a question for ya.....Why is Roenick not the captian of that team...........He acts like one. (not trashing)

Posted by: ALBOB

This is purely speculation on my part, because I've wondered the same thing, but I think it's because of the transition between Desjardain and Primeau. Desjardain was named captain after Lindros got stripped and he wasn't up to the task. It then got put on Primeau and he did a GREAT job. Now that Roenick's in the mix I do think he'd make a great captain but Primeau's already doing the job and they don't want to disrespect him. What they end up with is a formal captain (who's doing a great job) and an informal captain (who's also doing a great job). Best of both worlds. Now if we could just get those two to up their scoring a bit and we'd REALLY be flying high.
