On Jan. 26th the Raiders will meet the bucs.......

My money is on the Raiders by 3 points.

Posted by: Dero

I say Raiders to win by 10...

Posted by: dg806

Oakland by 10...............

Posted by: Prince

Tampa Bay by 7

Posted by: CaptainDeadlift

Tampa Bay by 6

Posted by: P-funk

I don't know who will win this won but it will be decided by 3 points. I guess I will say Raiders by 3

Posted by: seyone

Oakland 21- 17

Posted by: Max. Q

Now for my next prediction I will use a quote:

"The Art Of War * Sun Tzu -- If you know the enemy and know yourself, your victory will not stand in doubt."

John Gruden was king of the Raider nation, he knows well the strengths and weaknesses of at least 95% of his old team, he was the teacher of the current Raider coaching staff. He will utilize that information and lead his Bucs into victory.

Do you remember the movie "The Hunt for Red October"? How Capt. Ramius, the Russian sub captain, used counter tactics to beat his own people because he knew what his old cronies and students were going to do.

Make mine the Tampa Bay Bucanneers for Super Bowl Champs.

why is everyone picking Oakland?

So many offensive threats! It was awesome watching them play this weekend..

But John Gruden's a football genius and he knows these Raiders better than they know themselves. I say Warren Sapp and co. are gonna shut the Raiders down.

Tampa 24 - Oakland 10.

Posted by: Prince

The Raiders played a great game yesterday, however the 3 turnovers by the Titans were critical and had they not happened I am not sure the Raiders would have prevailed. Also, the Raiders had home field advantage, do not underestimate that.

I think it will be a great Super Bowl, but I think that Tampa Bay is a better team, of course my opinion is biased because I hate Oakland!

Posted by: ragingbull

Raiders by 14.

Why?

Tim Brown and Jerry Rice garner so much attention that Porter will have another great game. The Bucks will not be able to cover all three man to man and if they go to zone, Gannon "Mr MVP" will pick them appart. Charlie Garner is a great threat similar to Preist Homes, He can run and catch the ball effectively. That's not even mentioning Wheatly or Crockett. Jerry Rice will become the all time Super Bowl TD Reception leader.

The Bucks, you stop Keshon and Joe Jurivicious (SP?) and you stop the Bucks. They become one dementional with Alstott. That's what the Raiders will do. The O-line is subpar compartively to the Raider and they should be able to preassure Johnson. Brad Johnson is a shell of Gannon. If I were a bett'n man, my money is on the Raiders.

Which sucks because I'm a Chiefs fan.

Raiders 34 Bucks 20

Posted by: Prince

by 14???

no way!

no matter which team wins I do not see it being by more than 7 points, it will be a close game.

Agreed

Hasn't anyone learned yet? I've been correct 100% in every playoff winner predictions and even predicted a Bucs vs. Raider Super Bowl in this forum.

I'm telling you, it's going to be Tampa Bay Bucanneers Super Bowl Champions!

LOL

Hate to brag... but here...

Superbowl Picks? 12-31-2002 11:18 AM
Those two teams are the Oakland Raiders and the Tampa Bay Bucanneers

Make your picks: NFL playoffs, week 2 01-06-2003 04:58 AM
~ Tennesee Titans

~ Philadelphia

~ Tampa Bay (tough choice, but I think the Bucs are able to contain TO from making big plays)

~ Oakland (AFC West side!!)

NFL Championship games - Predictions 01-13-2003 09:26 AM
~ Tampa Bay

~ Oakland Raiders

Posted by: ragingbull

We'll see.

These games are either close or a blowout. I just don't think the Bucks have enough Offense to compete.

I could be wrong.

By the way, what's the prize for the closest prediction?

Tampa Bay by 6.

Last night the local newscast showed both teams arriving at the airport in San Diego, here's my observations....

The Raiders were all dressed up in their Armani suits and such. The whole team was limping off the aircraft, they could hardly make it down the steps, they couldn't wave to the fans because they were too busy holding on to the railing. I mean these guys looked like they needed wheelchairs. They were walking like me the day after doing squats.

The Bucs walked off their plane heads up high, waving to the cameras, nobody was limping, and they weren't wearing any fancy suits. These guys came to do some business, not here for a fashion show. I got a good impression that they are healthy and here to kick some @ss.

Although I don't root for any Florida teams, I have to give it to the Bucs because their fresh and running on pure adrenaline and well, Florida is due for a Championship.

Spread??

Posted by: DFINEST

TAMPA by A blow out....

This team reminds me of my beloved RAVENS 2 years ago!

Maybe we should call you Jethro Bodine. I'm almost positive he had one of those bowls on the Beverly Hillbillies.

You may very well by right but I've got this nagging feeling that Tampa Bay's gonna shock the world. I hope to hell NOT, I hate those assholes, but I've just got that feeling.

P.S. Before you say anything, I hated them even BEFORE they helped the Eagles embarass themselves.

Posted by: IPMC

I actually think your first choice was correct........and the score was bout right. It's gonna be a close, tuff game.

Posted by: david

I hear Tampa has the line by 3 at the moment

I think that's backwards. I'm pretty sure it's Da' Raiders by 3.

(Not gonna swear to it but I'm pretty sure.)

Well tomorrow's the big day, I don't have any tickets to be in the stadium tomorrow so I'll do the next best thing and head over to join the crowd and festivities happening downtown tonight.

Posted by: dg806

I've got my chicken wings and mushrooms ready to go in the oven. Think I'll grill me some hamburgers also. Hell, it's the superbowl!

TAMPA BAY ALL THE WAY!!

Not only did they put the knife into the Raiders but they twisted it with that interception for a touchdown in the last 20 seconds of the game..

I VOTE FOR JON GRUDEN AS MVP OF THE GAME! He is a true leader and Al Davis should have never traded him away. He can have all the big money players on his team but now he found out you need someone to lead them.

Posted by: bigss75

What an ass kickin

You pressure gannon he will choke.

Posted by: Prince

well, I think Tampa Bay did a bit more than just pressure Gannon!

I SUCK AT THIS.
In the words of Bill Walton"

"That was a HORRRRRRRRIBLE Pick"

Posted by: coleman

bah...it's only the super bowl.

Posted by: I Are Baboon

Well I didn't expect such a Raider ass-kicking. I really thought Tampa would win, but not in such a convincing fashion. Yet more proof that DEFENSE wins championships.

We need to start a poll on weather Defense or Offense wins.....
I thought about this yesterday!

The last three Super Bowls were won on defense:

Two years ago, Baltimore completely shut down the Giants.
Last year, the Patriots snuffed out the powerful Rams offense.
Yesteday, Tampa Bay defense was dominant.

Hell, the Tampa Bay DEFENSE scored as many points as the Raiders yesterday.

Posted by: IPMC

That had to be the worst freakin game of the season. Not because Oakland lost, but because it was such an ass kickin. I was hoping to see a much closer game.

Skip your poll. Including yesterday's game, there have been 10 games involving teams where one team had an offense ranked in the top three and the other team had a defense ranked in the top three. Nine times the better defensive team won.

Union Tribune, San Diego
Jonanthan Heller/Staff Writer

Many of the Raider Nation defect before game ends
Buccaneers fans jeer at them as they file out.

They're described as some of the most loyal, if not rabid, fans in the nation.

But thousands of citizens of the Raider Nation defected before the end of the fourth quarter yesterday as their beloved team was crushed by the boys in pewter and red.

*******************

Then the Raider Nation had the smarts to have a riot and destroy their own hometown. What the hell right?? They already had their face paint and masks on, might as well loot the town. LOL

Those are some real smart fans, LOL.

Here's a prediction next season for the Raiders: Moral in the Raider clubhouse will go down drastically, Al Davis will fire coaches, top name players will retire or be traded to another team, they'll have a hard time recovering, it's already showing.

What the hell, they've got about a bazillion draft picks, start re-building. Send those suck-ass old receivers to Philly and also Charlie Garner. (Maybe this time they'll keep him.)

Posted by: Max. Q

"We'd come to the line and we'd audible," said Oakland fullback Jon Ritchie. "Then you'd see their (Bucs) linebackers all turning to each other, going, '93 Willie! 93 Willie!' It's like they knew what it was."

LOL!!! The Raiders obviously didn't change their playbook when Gruden left.
