Will running a mile on the treadmill after every workout have any benefits as far as decreasing body fat? Of course its better than nothing, but how effective could it be? I'm just trying to get myself into the habit of doing cardio to work myself up to 25 minutes - 3x a week.

well, running a mile per day will burn calories, so in that respect yes.
but that is not the only thing to focus on if you want to decrease body fat, your diet is the key.
cardio 3 x per week for 25 minutes sounds more sensible from a bodybuildig standpoint, but I have no idea what your goal is.

Sure, its going to help but if your diet is shit, its not going to help much except for building up your cardiovascular system.

at what percentage of body fat you think you would start getting a flat tummy?? approx??

depends on the individual.
some people carry more fat in their abdomen, usually males, and others carry it in places like the thighs, typically females.

Seems to me, I saw somewhere that for men, 14% is a good number to be at, not shredded but you should see some abs. For women, I think the number was 17-19%.
